Sunnyside Apartments Resort Petrcane

The state of the apartment was run down, bed was uncomfortable. Floor was dirty and lot of ants run on the floor.

Absolutely fantastic place, very high standard of property. Very friendly and helpful staff. 2 minutes walk to the beach and bar with swimming pool. What else do you need on holiday?

We booked a week's stay here in an apar**ent, we expected it to be small and basic, no frills because it was such a reasonable price. We booked a half board package deal. We arrived and reported to reception where we were met and attended to by a lovely lady who spoke great English, she explained everything clearly and directed us to our apar**ent. Wow, what a surprise, it was very spacious, immaculately clean and modern. Big open plan kitchen, dining, lounge space with a massive sliding door onto a lovely terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs and parasol, everything you needed, oh and an airer for wet stuff. The bedroom and shower room were just as clean, comfy and modern. The restaurant has an outside terrace as well as nice inside dining area. The meals are self service with both breakfast and dinner having a great selection, something for everyone. We ate outside, the only slight irritation was the wasps but that is nature and not the fault of the restaurant! There is a bar for drinks which are bought at an extra cost, very reasonably priced. The beach is literally 2 mins away and there is no shortage of free sun loungers, the water is gorgeous. The beach bar is fab as well, good food and good value. An all round top stay and would highly recommend this complex, we will return.

Nice apar**ent, but bad maintenance. First apar**ent: could’nt close the door and we got a waterleakage in the kitchen. Lucky us, we got to switch apar**ent. At the beach: sun beds are reserved from early in the morning. No one removes towels. At the Zanzibar restaurant and pool, you have to pay extra for sunbeds, the pool bar is closed, the food is poor and the service lousy. bring your own ketchup for fries. 3 years ago this place had received 5 stars, now barely 3 stars.

This was our first time in Croatia and we couldnt have found a nicer complex. It's was a modern apar**ent with a superb terrace and retractable awning. The air conditioning was a real bonus and in all rooms. There was a great kitchen including a freezer. The towels were changed after five days and the bed linen after ten days. On arrival, the reception is the door on the right of the supermarket. Its not clearly signed. The staff were really professional and helpful. If you've chosen to pay at the hotel, you're billed on check out, not check in. There was only one set of keys, which was a bit of a problem when our party did different things. Most visitors are Croation, German and Slovakian. Its very laid back, and a bit off the beaten track. There's a reasonably priced supermarket, a bistro, and an ice cream parlour. The supermarket is open from 7am to 10pm. Thats about it apart from the Zanzibar restaurant next to the pool. There you can get a great Dalmatian breakfast of two fried eggs, two sausage, two bacon, two toast, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese for 10 euros. Its enough for two people and is delicious. Make sure you ask for the sausage rather than the hot dogs as they weren't of the same quality. They also do pizzas, burgers, pancakes etc. A pint will cost 5.5 euros and a half 4 euros. As mentioned in other reviews, for 2 sunbeds around the pool its 35 euros. Most people just sit on the whicker chairs and tables adjacent to the pool. Its not a problem. Plus all the sunbeds along the shoreline are free. If you get down there by nine o clock you can usually reserve a few by throwing your towels on them like everyone else. The staff at the Zanzibar were great. The pools are great. Three separate pools and a pool bar. The beach is rocky but there are jetties all the way along so that you walk out and go straight into the water. To get to Petrcane you can go along the coastal walk. This takes about fifteen minutes and is a lovely walk. If you're looking out to sea at the Zanzibar just turn left and carry on walking. Or you can take the road above. If your outside of the supermarket staring at it turn left and carry on along the road for about five minutes until you come to a fork in the road. Take the downward route with the yellow sign for Petrcane Hotel. There's a handful of bars and restaurants in Petrcane. Its a really lovely place, with a marina, a beach, ice cream parlours etc. The Mojito is a great place on the front. You can get a pint for 3 euros. A coffee for two euros. Plus they do snacks and there's an upstairs terrace with views out to the sea. To get further afield you'll need a car or taxis. There is a bus service but we didn't us that. We used Uber and it was quite a bit cheaper and quicker than a taxi. From Zadar Airport to Sunnyside it was 30 euros. A taxi would have been 50 euros. From Sunnyside to Zadar was about 15 euros and took roughly twenty minutes. We never had to wait more than ten minutes for an Uber. If you

We were on a family holiday here in June 2023 the apar**ent was lovely clean & well thought out had everything you need including a washing machine which was a great bonus reason for 3 star was the swimming pool loungers we had to pay £35 Euro for 2 & £70 Euro for 4 so would have cost a family of 4 for 10 days for £700 Euro which we thought let the holiday down & the pool was empty every time we went down other hotels use a system where if people book it if they don’t turn up in 30 mins of booking time it goes to someone else which I think it’s needed here we actually thought it was a mistake but there was free sun loungers next to the beach but people were leaving towels on the free loungers & disappearing all day so defeats the purpose we would have used the bar more & the restaurant but weren’t prepared to pay this amount on the upside location was great very quiet peaceful holiday but we used other beaches also no cleaning or fresh towels for 10 days had to ask for more I would recommend a car if staying at this complex & the gym and sauna were a good bonus too & I would gave a rating of 4-5 stars if the pool loungers were better organised & we were not the only family to comment on this the staff on reception were very friendly & helpful & Air Conditioning was fantastic

The room was clean but there were lots of ants, which was not so nice.

Excellent accommodation, great communication and a lovely spot by the water to relax and enjoy.

Très déçus de l’appartement qui est vieillissant et non entretenu. La porte d’entrée est toute gondolée, la salle de bain n’est pas fonctionnelle et est vétuste avec de la moisissure sur les joints de la douche. La chambre a une odeur d’égouts, et la propreté de la chambre laisse à désirer. Au niveau équipement de l’appartement, il manque un micro onde, il n’y avait que 2 bols pour 4, 3 verres pour 4, il n’y avait qu’un petit fond de liquide vaisselle et le distributeur était cassé. Nous y étions que pour 3 nuits, nous nous en sommes donc accommodés. En revanche l’appartement est grand, les lits sont confortables et la piscine, le bar en bord de mer sympas. Aucune communication, on ne nous a même pas demandé comment s’était passé notre séjour. Bref ça ne vaut pas le prix élevé.
