Travel Inn Petersburg Fort Lee

At the last minute, we made a reservation through ******* while travelling through Virginia on May 29/30, 2021. My wife called Travel Inn to explain of a late, late arrival due to uncontrollable traffic and weather. The night auditor said it was fine. I only wish I could attach more photos of the room that was given to us. It was moldy (AC), filthy, linens dirty, carpet stained/dirty, no toilet paper, no towels, no shampoo/soap, no television, walls repaired or not, no safety lock on the door. Also, the elevator was dirty and graffiti on the hotel walls. Immediately, I returned to the front desk to inform them that the room was not acceptable and we wouldn't be staying. The night auditor said that all refunds needed to be handled through *******. ******* was contacted - they contacted your business only to be told you would not be issuing a refund. The hotel was not acceptable and we definitely did not stay there so I am not sure how they could expect to be paid for no services rendered. Also, the parking lot is unsafe and not well lit. The clientele coming and going was sketchy. Our vehicle and boat were prime targets. The pictures on line do not show a true picture. It appeared that room may be rented more on an hourly occasion than nightly. Don't ever book this hotel - so disgusting.
