ZZanriThe hotel location is lovely and we saw some beautiful sunsets. The boats transporting guests to and from the town were always punctual and they were willing to take us very early in the morning when we checked out, free of charge. The staff are very nice and helpful, but I get the feeling they're each doing about two people's jobs.
The restaurant isn't very good. Half the menu wasn't available and the food quality was average, with the exception of the squid (when they finally restocked it). Coffee is terrible. Also, they advertise happy hour, but when we wanted to order cocktails, we were told that there was no barman on duty and we could only have beers.
The facilities need an urgent upgrade. The rooms are fine, but from the outside, it resembles a dormitory or, to be morbid, a mental institution.
Also, they advertise snorkeling, but we were advised against going in the water and the pool has very chairs next to it.
Not sure if we'll book again.

TTamuBeautiful beach location (Mariemegmeg) about 10 minutes TukTuk drive plus 10 minutes walk through âshopping/resortâ centre and then along the beach from El Nido port. (20-30 mins bus TukTuk from El Nido airport). Good value compared to other either very elegant accommodation or incredibly uncomfortable rustic huts or tree houses along this and neighbouring beaches. Our room and facilities were basic but there was lots of hot water in the shower, the air con worked well and the breakfast (extra cost) and meals were fine and the two-for-one cocktails at happy hour (pretty much all day) cocktails were very worthwhile. The restaurant area has fabulous views and you can sit there all day. The sea is warm, though cloudy with sand, and the trick to avoid jellyfish is not to swim when itâs been raining.

TTamuThis is a bit of a special place. The hotel is right at its own private beach. Itâs very isolated from everything else which can be nice if you donât want to leave the hotel at all. We wanted to go to the town some evenings and that is a bit of a challenge. You first have to take a golf car (which only runs until 10pm) and then change into a tricycle. The tricycles wonât go directly to the hotel because the last bit of the road is too steep and winded. The other option is to walk along the beach for 20 minutes instead of using the golf car for the last bit, which we did a couple of times. Itâs not too dangerous but there are stray dogs.
The food in the hotel restaurant was Italian and just ok, nothing amazing. The service was not great. Two women seem to know how to run a hotel but the rest of the staff were rather useless. They often seemed annoyed, even when we were just ordering food. We once asked about the zipline that is literally next door and they didnât know anything about it (price, time, how to get there). They organised a tour for us, which was great, but messed up the booking somehow so the tour guide thought we were only two people instead of four, which resulted in less food for lunch. And then they even charged us more for the tour.
Our room was fine. Clean and no bugs. Yes, you can hear everything but we didnât mind that. The room was only made up on request though.
The whole area is beautiful but there were a few things that annoyed us. So I wouldnât come back.

TTamuMy fiance and I stayed in villa 3 with the private pool. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone however here are some things to note. The hill and walk up to the villas is not mild. Definitely worth considering if you have difficulties with steep hills, it would be a good 2-5mins up hill. Villa 3 felt like the smallest villa of the 3, however had the longest pool. Unfortunately for villa's 2 & 3 the day beds are on top of each other (villa 2 above villa 3). This made it a little awkward relaxing during our stay. Villa 1 has a very private area. Worth a note that the resort has a strict no lotion or sunscreen policy, which unfortunately even despite my best efforts, resulted in a lasting sunburn. Overall a lovely experience and the views make it all worth while. Thank you Viewdeck for a wonderful stay.
