Ulasan Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort

We had a lovely week here. The staff are very friendly and the the food was very good. We had a 1st floor apartment across the road from the reception. The room was clean and tidy but in need of a lot of Tlc. It’s a 10 min stroll to the beach and 25 min stroll into Paphos main *****. Im assuming because we were early in the season the daily activities were not up to speed but it did not affect our holiday. The evening entertainment was ok. It is a 3 star so don’t expect more. My only observation is that Leptos Hotels need to spend some money here to make sure this gem of a hotel doesn’t disappear.

Wonderful staff, very welcoming. Upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment which was spotlessly clean. The veranda was large with a shaded area. Air-conditioning in all rooms.Welcome gift of wine fruit and biscuits which was very thoughtful. Food was lovely and plentiful. 5-10 minutes walk to the harbor depending on route taken. We will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

My first trip to Cyprus with Mercury Holidays .The hotel rooms could do with updating but overall everything else at the hotel was excellent.The: food was very good with lots of choice - the rooms were adequate and clean with excellent shower and we had a balcony , fridge ,hairdryer. There was entertainment in the evenings .The outside pool was adequate with plenty of sun beds. The staff were very helpful and attentive - they work very hard so a special shout-out to the following staff . Reception : Leonidas,Karin’s, Christalla, Diana. Bar: Loucas Restaurant: Louis All in all a very good value for money hotel so will be going back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very mixed reviews about this establishment but we stayed in a double room, bed and breakfast in the main block and we have to say was very good. We was on the top floor with a lovely balcony facing the pool with some views of the sea. The room was good size, light and airy with a small fridge that was most efficient. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and good service. The hotel is well located about 15 mins from the main harbour or a few bars and restaurants if you go to the triangle that is the other direction. The walk on the seafront is also fab whichever way you choose to walk. Overall we had a lovely stay, weather was good which was a huge bonus and we would certainly return. Yes there are lots of cats and it does say not to feed them and also the cleaning of our room could have been a little better such as the balcony rail and toilet. Thank you for our stay.

I had a lovely time at Paphos Gardens from the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth and kindness .Wine and fruit was a lovely touch as were the Cyprus delights on our last day like other reviews the rooms do need some tlc our heating didn't work and they tried hard to fix them but honestly I think they need replacing the cleaner was amazing in every day and reception staff were wonderful we only stayed B&B and breakfast was good .I'd definately stay again .Paphos is a beautiful place so much to see and do we did so much and are hoping to visit again I'm the future ! Thank you Paphos Gardens for a lovely first time in Cyprus :)

We were travelling with my sisters and their husbands and didn't get the accommodation we requested - double rooms in the hotel close together being told on arrival that we had been upgraded!! It didn't feel like an upgrade especially not for my sisters and their husbands. One had rubble and an old tree stump as a patio, and the other was up 2 flights of stairs and in ear shot of the nearby animal sanctury. I notice from another review that they were not the only couple to be disturbed in this way. For the first night neither of my sisters had a mattress topper or quilts so spent a very cold first night. What made the whole thing worse was that we were told we'd been upgraded as they couldn't put us together as requested, however, we were in separate blocks, how does that work? It's true to say the staff tried their best to put it right on Sunday morning but the attitude of the staff on our arrival was take it or leave it and increased our disappointment in the start of our holiday. On a positive note the breakfast was very nice and the pool area very pleasant. Overall we would be unlikely to return to Paphos Gardens for fear of disappointment.

As the title says, we had a 'cheap and cheerful' week here as out first time in cyprus. I booked a double hotel room with b&b as we didn't need self catering. Upon checking in we were given a whole 2 storey somewhat tired looking self catering apartment, even though I showed the booking that we booked a double room as we didn't need a whole apartment, but the gut checking us didn't really reply to it, so, that was weird....The apartment itself was ok, was generally clean and smelled clean but definitely needed many repairs, there was a huge 2 inch gap under the front door so we had centipedes and other bugs constantly coming in, luckily I brought ant traps... Other issues like the bathroom ceiling fan half hanging off the ceiling and not working, the bedside lamps not working and disintegration of wooden furniture. I'd add that this didn't hugely bother us as the apartment was still clean and was cleaned every other day for bins emptied and fresh towels etc, plus the air con worked very well as should. Plus, we were out mostly all day every day to explore Cyprus so we mostly used 1 bedroom the bathroom and that was it. Were were in tulip 103. Nice quiet street, Kleious, lots of pretty flowers and trees and the way the resort is set out is nice too. The main hotel building (that we should've been in) was more modernised, the breakfast had a great variety of things, although between 9am-9.45am was crazy busy and was literally every man for themselves, definitely go earlier to avoid the hordes. The pool area was nice, most of the sunloungers were taken/claimed before 9am (lol) so we didn't swim in the pool, although we did swim twice in the indoor spa pool in the evenings when it was quiet, and that was very nice, recommend that. The 2nd outdoor pool was closed. The resort is a 5 min walk down the street from the beach walk, which is about a 15 min walk to the harbour area and is gorgeous. There is also bus stops v close by, which are on time and can be found on the pafos buses website for timetables, also recommend to get around easily for €2 a ride, even to airport (ignore the taxi drivers who will harass you telling you the buses are off, they definitely are not off). Overall we had a pleasant stay at Paphos Gardens and would stay again, if, we actually got the hotel room we booked the first time. As I said, our apartment was not what we had booked or needed, but it was fine, and we were out all day. For a cheap and cheerful holiday it was good for that purpose. The staff were all v pleasant, and the resort area was clean, and very pretty with lots of trees and flowers, and also mostly quiet. Just, in dire need of some refurb. 3.5-4/5.

Greeted well, cold drink on arrival. Great location only 20mins walk to the harbour and the archaeological site, then 10mins on the bus to the Tombs. Near by you have Avis tours very good, and some bars and restaurants, viva cyprus was particularly nice. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was nice. However with the animal sanctuary so close there are barking dogs and braying donkey all night which ment we were very tired and the staff start cleaning and using the leaf blower at 7am so no sleeping in. Unfortunately they do not provide towels for the pool and there are no basics for the kitchen, you get a bath, hand towel and some soap. However there is a shop near by. Shame they do not have decent sized cups I had my tea out of a milk jug all holiday and saw people with there own cups at breakfast The hotel is dated and most the fixtures are damaged, broken sink, stained headboard, bed ect. but they are clean and usable the mattress was comfortable too. They compensate with a bottle of wine and fruit on arrival and Turkish delight on leaving. Also staff seem very nice so there trying

we were made very welcome as soon as entering reception ,shown to our room which was first class ,clean and bright ,the food quality was good nice and hot were needed ,no need for anyone to go hungry ,entertainment was varied ,could not fault anything ,hope to return next year if not before

We arrived fairly late for check-in, but were given a sandwich and a bottle of water to eat which was a nice surprise. We booked 3 rooms in the main hotel and honestly l felt comfortable from the start, the rooms were all lovey and perfect for our needs, l had a back facing room which was bliss! The staff from the reception, house keeping and food and drink service were all fantastic, not a single complaint there. We stayed all inclusive and there was so much food at very regular times of day it was amazing. The drinks were plentiful and l really enjoyed the cocktails. My only ****** is that all inclusive can not use the lounge bar at night and have to traipse down to the restaurant bar everytime you want a drink, it makes you feel excluded rather than inclusive, which is rather disappointing. All in all we have booked to go back in September and we are looking forward to it.

My wife and I, both of us in our late sixties, booked to stay at this hotel on an all-inclusive basis for ten days at the start of February through Mercury Holidays, and we had a not too bad a time at all. It was the first time that we had booked through this company, and it won’t be the last as they didn’t put a foot wrong. They just gave us excellent service from start to finish. The price of the holiday was very cheap, communication with them was first rate, all of the paperwork was easy to understand and full of useful information, the transfers were on time and comfortable, and the rep on holiday was also first class. Now onto the hotel; we arrived at around nine in the evening and booking in was a breeze. Before we were shown to our apartment the lovely receptionist told us to go to the restaurant for dinner as it would be closing in around twenty minutes, so we had our first meal within minutes of arriving and the food was very good. It remained so for the entire holiday. I found that it could have been a tad warmer on occasions, but my wife told me that it was all fine for her. The variety and choice was always good, but the restaurant could get busy at times, and sometimes it was difficult to find a table – I would dread to think what it would be like in the high season. After the meal we were shown to our apartment in the Geranium block. Now this was a bit of a surprise as we thought that we would be getting a twin room within the hotel. Anyway, we were amazed when the receptionist opened the door to the apartment as it was huge (other guests who were staying in the main hotel told us that their rooms were very small). We had a large living area, small kitchenette, two double bedrooms and a fair sized bathroom, which had a bath. We were more than happy with this accommodation for our ten day stay, especially as there was only the two of us. The apartment appeared clean and was in a fairly good standard of repair, although it still could have done with a little TLC as everything in the apartment and the apartment itself was old and dated, but we thought it perfectly sufficient for our ten day stay. The apartment was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff throughout our stay. We got settled into the apartment and as it was getting late we decided to have a cuppa and then off to bed – thus appeared our first problem, in that we couldn’t find any brew kit. There was a fully kitted kitchenette, with microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, cooker, toaster, crockery and utensils, but absolutely no tea, coffee, sugar or milk – remember we were all-inclusive. I walked back across to reception to ask them for something to make a brew with and was told that they did not supply this. Now I’ve travelled quite extensively in the past fifty years, staying in literally hundreds of hotels and this is the first time in my memory that I’ve ever come across this. We arrived at the hotel and the staff were friendly. We had booked a twin room on bed & breakfast basis. We were given a 2 bedroom apartment across the road from the main hotel. The apartment was huge but in need of modernisation in particular the following: Front door not the easier one to open and close The sofa (which is a sofa bed) is very old and needs replacing The kitchen is updated and lack of the minimum you would expect like dishcloth, washing up liquid, tea towel and frying pan for example. The fridge freezer was in need of a good cleaner. You have to put the water heater on 30 minutes before needing and the hot water doesn’t last long enough Another side of the apartment is the dogs out of the back barking in the early hours of the morning and the cats out the front in the evening. The hotel doesn’t provide towels for the pool so you are expected to use the towels from your bathroom. The indoor pool was adequate We only had breakfast at the hotel and the choice was very limited. Too much in the cooked food. If we came to this hotel again, we would do self catering, as there are much better places in Paphos for breakfast than this hotel

Staff. Id like to start by saying the staff here are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly, polite and helpful. They really are a credit to the place and made our stay a pleasure. Food. We originally booked bed and breakfast but decided to upgrade to all inclusive when we got here,im so glad we did! Absolutely beautiful, every meal time there was something different to try and was cooked to perfection, I've never had food like it at an all inclusive. Meals and deserts were super tasty 10/10 without a doubt. The afternoon dinner menu had plenty to choose from and again everything cooked beautifully and fresh. Rooms. The rooms have literally everything you need for your stay, apart from the furniture being a bit dated the rooms were more than adequate, home from home. Pools. Its a shame the outdoor pools aren't heated, they were far too cold to use so instead we used the indoor pool which is lovely, kept at a nice temperature, clean and a good size. Location. Perfect location, 2 minutes walk to the nearest beach (the sea was still warm enough to swim in) and 15 minutes walk to paphos harbour where you can find shops restaurants bars, day trips, theres a castle at the end of the promenade, its a perfect place to watch the sunset. Downfalls. The only thing i can complain about is the rooms have bugs, mostly ants and they're everywhere, if the owners invest in professional exterminators it would greatly improve their reviews. If it wasn't for this they would have had 5 out of 5 from me. Would i stay here again? Definitely

Un hôtel très agréable, très bien situé. tout est proche. Il se trouve à 5 minutes à pied de l'arrêt de bus et à seulement 10 minutes du bord de mer. Je dois mentionner que le service hôtelier est au plus haut niveau et est très gentil et serviable. La nourriture est également de très haute qualité. Je peux le recommander en toute confiance !
