Ohiopyle Suites

Waited from 10pm to 1am in the morning. No signals in the area, had to use WiFi from a cafe across the street. Trip.com service helped me contact them when I first got to the hotel, and I also tried the phone number on the billboard later in the night. Eventually, I did not get in the room, no one from the hotel contacted me. I bought data roaming with my uk number to call them, I called them every twenty minutes for four times, they gave the same reply “we’ll contact people to get in touch with you”, and never did. I had to sleep in the car this morning, since I’ve had waited till 1 am and I have activity scheduled at 8. I would say it’s 100% the hotel’s fault, 10/10 for trip.com service but 0/10 for Ohiopyle suite.

Worst stay ever. Spend most of the day sightseeing and hiking in the surrounding areas. Stop by room at 4pm for checkin, throw bags in the room and leave to continue sightseeing. Return to the room around 830pm and it’s as warm as the outside temp of 90 degrees. Call phone number in book, tell gentleman that the air conditioner is not working and only blowing ambient air. Receive a few text from a property rep about having maintenance come out to check on AC and replace it if needed or bring fans to the room or have us move to a house in Farmington for the night as no other rooms in Ohiopyle Suites are available. Having maintenance come out, troubleshoot, remove old AC and replace with a different one is not a quick fix and it would most likely be midnight by the time the work was done. Bringing fans to the room would just circulate hot air. Packing all our things at 930pm and driving to Farmington to stay for the night was also a bad solution. So we lay in bed sweating and expect a full refund. Hottest week of the year so far and how don’t you ensure basically amenities are functioning properly? Oh and my gf pulls the drain stopper lever up to put water in the sink and it almost pulls out of the sink and a 6 inch long plastic piece falls to the ground from underneath the sink.

Clean, comfortable and well maintained. Helpful and friendly staff. Perfect location is walking distance to everything we needed in town. Plenty of room inside for my bike. Ideal location along the GAP trail midway between Pittsburgh and Cumberland. We'll be back for sure!

This hotel is in a very nice area. Main street and park are walking distance from hotel. And the hotel itself has a cabin-like atmosphere. And their breakfast is good. Price is also reasonable.

Ohiopyle Suites is simple but definitely adequate for our needs. It's in a very pretty setting and right in the midst of the cute Ohiopyle village of restaurants and bike rental shops. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Lighting could be improved by adding an overhead light for the studios. Like most places, the local restaurants could be improved by adding more meatless meal options. I would like to visit again in the future!

Our suite was just as pictured. It was super clean and our bed was comfortable. This is a simple property catering to hikers, rafters, bicyclists… all the adventures that ohiopyle offers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is in the center of town making it super convenient to walk everywhere. We would definitely stay again.

On arrival we noticed a sign stating non- guest vehicles would be towed at owner's espense, we went to inquire about the policy with the office to find out if we needed a window decal to prove we belonged there. The person attending the desk seemed bothered by our questions and quite frankly less than helpful. The room was clean and stocked with the basic necessities which was good but the problem we experienced was with the air conditioning that was located in the dressing area, as a result the cool air struggled to reach the sleeping area plus it had an incessant squeal as though a bearing were failing in it. To top it off (not the hotel's fault) this hotel is located directly across the street from the volunteer fire department which unfortunately has an air raid siren atop it that went off every night of our stay between 1-3am. Be aware if you book here you are unable to cancel but for a handful of reasons.

It's a very solid place to stay. It was clean. Being in Ohiopyle, it was close to the falls and all the shops. We would stay there again.
