Turicum Chalets at Monkey Rock Winery

We loved being away from it all but also being close enough to local attractions and beaches. The views were amazing, looking out on untouched bush land & glimpses of the ocean. Each day seeing the gaggle of geese wandering about, the donkeys, Shetland ponies, sheep, lambs & kangaroos was so much fun for the kids and I. Bring carrots to feed the donkeys & ponies. Stephanie was responsive and a great host. Chalets were clean & comfortable with all the necessities. There were a few beetles which came in but they were harmless & look, you’re immersed in nature so it wasn’t a shock. The fireplace was cosy on some cold evenings. Thanks so much for having us, we’ll be back! Colleen & family.

Nice location… But for the price I would have expected a few more amenities besides just soap…

Well below average… I’ll leave the emails for your own interpretation. They speak form them self… No responsibility taken, put blame back on paying customers. Below average accommodation that smells like mould. Worse customer service, as above…. Read the emails.

We booked a rustic cabin with a log fire for a romantic getaway. Very pretty property. The views were lovely. We never got to the meet the hosts and communication with them was poor or no response what so ever. The property is comfortable with the basics provided but ready for some much needed maintenance. We have a booked document saying that wood would be provided free in the cooler months. We got in at 6pm the temp outside 5 degrees no firewood provided we froze that night. We enquired the following day and got a response 3 hours later by SMS and were told we could drive a 20km roundtrip to purchase wood for 20 dollars a bag from a service station. Apparently they changed their site to say wood provided in Winter months and we went in spring. Disappointing experience and the type of service you would hope no longer exists when representing tourism for the beautiful state we live in.
