Why this place not a 5-star we really don't understand! The Argyle is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The level of service and friendliness of the staff is simply outstanding. The grounds are so tasteful. A quiet oasis with gorgeous views of Adam's Peak and surrounding landscape. The staff made it their business to know everything about their guests' whereabouts. We came back from Adam's Peak at noon after a very long (but fantastic) night – of course breakfast was long over. But they had a table in the restaurant ready for us and we could ask for whatever we wanted for a late breakfast. Later that evening, different staff in the restaurant asked us if we were still tired from the night's activities – and even the next day more staff asked about it. We had a Bruce room with balcony; the room was really tasteful, the website photos do not do it justice. The shower was great. The view from the balcony is just stunning – Adam's Peak in the background and wonderful sunsets. The day we arrived we had a room service lunch – a Sri Lankan dish – and it was gorgeous. The restaurant is nice – not too big and not too cold from the aircon as in so many other places. The temperature was just right. We felt totally spoiled during our stay and really did not want to leave. We've love to come back.

We came for a Honeymoon Package at The Argyle for 2 nights, and it was the best stay we've had so far! The hotel provided a wonderfully friendly environment, with exceptionally friendly staff who ensured we felt welcome and well-cared for throughout our stay. The service was top-notch, from the seamless check-in to the attentive housekeeping. We had a fantastic spa treatment that left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The food was excellent, with a variety of delicious options that catered to our tastes. The hotel staff member known as Shiva took the best photos of us. Really loved them. ❤️ Overall, our experience at The Argyle was outstanding. We are grateful for such a memorable stay and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you, The Argyle team, for making our honeymoon so special! We will definitely come back again.❤️

Fabulous boutique hotel. Staff all extremely attentive and eager to please. Spacious room with beautiful view over tea country. Food excellent. High tea was a fabulous experience. There is a walk around the area that is signposted all the way.

Lovely hotel with wonderful carding staff. Small hotel with fabulous location in the centre of the tea plantations. We had a small problem with our room so we’re moved immediately to another room with a glorious view near the pool great place to relax. The food was more limited as it’s only a small hotel. But definitely enough selection. Friendly helpful and attentive staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Argyle. The room was excellent with views over the tea plantation. The restaurant was very good, and there was a good choice of both Sri Lankan and western cuisine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and took great care to ensure that everything was to our liking. We spent quite a lot of time travelling around the area, and so were unable to take full advantage of the excellent facilities at the Argyle, although the pool was very welcoming after long walks through the plantation. We have no hesitation in recommending the Argyle to anyone travelling to this part of Sri Lanka.

On our tour of Sri Lanka, this has been our favourite hotel for 5* comfort and service. Situated on a hillside overlooking tea plantations with mountains in the distance, this modern boutique hotel is truly impressive from the luxurious rooms with balcony overlooking the pool area to the wonderful variety of food available in the restaurant. The staff are very well trained, but friendly and courteous. We enjoyed an excellent 2 night stay and just wish it had been longer.

Excellent Service ! Rooms were in tiptop condition and staff weee very friendly. Location was fabulous with lot of greenery surrounding the area. Pool had thermic control as well. The buffets were value for good money too as they included many varieties. Cheers

A beautiful boutique property nested with a breathtaking tea plantation view. Calm surrounding Completely nose free. The hotel itself is well maintained. Staff and management well accommodating. Stayed here for 4 nights and would definitely come back again with my family.
