Although the common areas were not heated during the winter, the rooms were very warm and extremely comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable. The beds are very soft, and I appreciated having two different types of pillows, allowing me to choose what suited me best. The welcome fruit in the room was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The hotel is located right by the sea, and the sea-view rooms offer a beautiful view, especially in the morning. I am very happy with my choice and would definitely stay here again."

"This was a lovely hotel in some ways but it’s also a bit misleading. We had an upgrade and our room was lovely the bed was superb and the bathroom was beautiful. The staff were super helpful and a credit to the hotel group. The staff did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and we’re very happy to help us with anything we needed. The location is in a somewhat rundown scenic area that is themed to look like a Chinese water town but so many things are closed and it lacked atmosphere. The promotional video doesn’t match what it was like. We did stay when weather was bad (raining all the 2 days) during the week and not in a holiday period so having not much to do on site and it being very quiet did impact the experience. However we did use the time just to recharge and relax in the very comfortable room as we had a few energetic days walking in our previous location. I would also say the activities that were on catered to children so I think this is more a family holiday destination and probably great if you have a car which we didn’t. Little touches that were nice was some complimentary fruit on arrival, the afternoon tea and some lovely local snacks given to us when we checked out."

"After reserving, I received a courtesy call from the hotel, and we then connected on WeChat since I don’t speak Chinese. The hotel introduced me to Long, the housekeeper, who coordinated our entire stay with great care and attention. Before our arrival, they asked if we had any special requests. As my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, I asked them to decorate the room with flowers—and they did a beautiful job. They also asked about our dinner and breakfast preferences and were impressively organized in their preparations. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but our taxi had trouble locating the hotel. I called Long, and he immediately came out to meet us—a huge help! When we checked in, they welcomed us with refreshments and even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which our three-year-old son especially loved. To our delight, they had thoughtfully prepared a child’s hygiene kit for him, including kid-friendly soap, shampoo, and a dental kit. We also received a handwritten note, a fresh fruit bowl, and a lovely bouquet of flowers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very tastefully decorated. There’s a small indoor play area for children, including a slide, tent, and games—our son played there every day. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds and spending time at the scenic swimming pool, which is nestled in the mountains. The food was another highlight: we had a delicious Chinese dinner and a traditional Chinese breakfast, both full of flavor. Throughout our stay, Long was incredibly helpful and made our trip truly special. Thank you, Long! I highly recommend Lost Villa. They have other locations as well, and we’re definitely looking forward to staying with them again."

"I brought my kids to the mountains for a short stay during the Dragon Boat Festival. A short section of winding mountain road was a little exciting. The homestay is located in Dongshan Village, with a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Xikou. It coincided with the plum rain season. Although there was no sunshine, the rolling sea of clouds was beautiful. I experienced two types of rooms, with different structures and complete configurations. The garden was not large but arranged in a staggered manner, with winding paths. It was a pity that I didn't have time to sit in the garden and make a cup of tea and daze. The first dinner was eaten at the homestay. The chicken soup was good, the outdoor "viewing position" was really intoxicating, and the fruit for afternoon tea was very fresh There are many places to play around, Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area, Ying Mengli immersive performances, and make a strategy in advance. Suggestions: Some snacks can be provided in the evening, and a list of attractions can be updated regularly, which is clear at a glance. On the way back, the housekeeper suggested to spend an extra hour crossing Siming Mountain, full of winding mountain roads, many small reservoirs, and viewing platforms...👍Good suggestions"

"The hotel staff is very nice and I especially want to thank 小孟 for going the extra mile to communicate with us in English and to make sure we knew where everything was. He also helped get us the shuttle car to go to the restaurant and for check out. The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel tries to improve the on-site fishing experience. My husband and I enjoy recreational fishing, which is why we were attracted to this hotel, but the fishing area was very dirty with fruit peels, trash and fishing line lying around. I dont want to go too much into it, but because the fishing was advertised as on-site on Trip.com, it would be nice if the fishing area was as well maintained as the rest of the hotel. If youre not fishing, I can say the rest of the experience was good and worth it."
