Hilton Garden Inn New York Central Park South-Midtown West

Had a problem with the booking nearer to the date of check in. Trip.com customer service put me up at Hilton Gardens Inn New York Times Square Central which is a better location. Therefore ny review is for this hotel. Was thinking they mentioned putting me up in a partial Times Square view room but there wants much view. But that alright.

Good location, nice night view from hotel room but lift waiting time is a bit long (might take 10 - 15 minutes).

Super hotel, the location is excellent and the room was very comfortable. The elevators are problematic, extremely slow and we had to use the stairs our entire stay (our room was on the 11th floor) Still, we loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great location with good price. Walking distance to Time Square, Rockefeller, Central Park, Fifth Avenue. 5 mins walk to diff subway stations and bus stops. Restaurants surrounding. I had no problem with the lift as what other reviews mentioned. This hotel is busy with many guests. All staff are friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check in at 11am by just signing up as Hilton member for free. Love the bed, microwave and coffee maker. There were no resort fee or tourist tax. Will definitely stay again.

Room cleaning is just so-so, while some facilities and/or toilet setup is broken without repairing . I think the most bad part is the lift which is killing too much time to wait/ take regardless to its time period during the whole day .

Very near broadway, near METRO OPERA. Surprisingly quiet. Great place to stay!

It was a really good location, extremely friendly staff and very close to subway entrances. Lots of food around! However, during our last day our AC broke down, the fire alarm also went off (false alarm) so our AC was of course last priority, thankfully they were able to offer us another room plus late check out due to the inconvenience so i appreciate how they handled the entire situation. Would definitely recommend despite those issues.

With the exception of the Manager - the reception staff are utterly rude, utterly unhelpful and outrageously sarcastic. Then the lifts - wait time about 10 mins.  If they’re working. Then the water - my first day 8am to 4pm no water throughout the hotel. Then there’s a deposit of $100 per room per night which no guests seems to be informed about. Housekeeping - your room may get serviced but then again … may not. So one word - AVOID
