Logis Hotel Restaurant des Acacias Lille Tourcoing

We visited as part of a 50-strong Leger battlefield tour group, so during our 4 nights' stay the hotel was dominated by our (well-behaved and appreciative) group. The staff and management took it all in their stride with cheerful welcomes and goodbyes. They didn't seem to mind the mud from 50 pairs of walking shoes. Our room was fairly small but had all we needed. Twin beds (pushed together) were comfortable with a choice of pillows (square/firm or oblong/soft). Decent TV with UK channels available. There was an option to forego daily cleaning in return for a 5euro voucher-per-day, which we spent in the bar one night and put against a jug of wine on the last night. Tea-making kit supplied. As another reviewer mentions, there were no normal teabags when we first arrived, but on request at reception these were readily supplied , along with milk , after which we simply topped up in the breakfast room when needed. The bathroom was clean and modern - evidently recently re-fitted, with an excellent shower and good towels. It had the quietest extractor fan I think I have encountered, so a late night trip to the bathroom didn't disturb my wife. We also liked the sustainable approach to drinking water; these days there is no need to drink bottled water in France. Instead there is a drinking water dispenser in the corridor with litre glass bottles to fill and re-fill, a choice of still, chilled still or fizzy. A nice touch, which we hadn't seen before. The restaurant was a pleasant experience. A daily specials menu and a small but varied regular menu. The Flemish carbonade (recommended for a cold evening) and pork in beer gravy came with fries and a good dressed salad. Limited choice for vegetarians, though my wife found the min-pizza starter enough for a main course, having previously found the vegetable gratin more generous than she could manage, As you'd expect there is a wine list but both times we chose a jug of one of the 3 red house wines, good value at 9 euros and very drinkable. There is a small bar area, though the bar itself was not manned, so drinks had to be bought in the restaurant and carried down to the bar seating. It was rather brightly lit and not very cosy, but that is really a matter of personal preference. It had a good selection of books in English and French. The musical theme throughout was a novel touch, though the large portrait of a French singer on our bedroom wall was slightly off-putting, so we covered it up! We didn't explore outside, as the weather had turned cold. I would suggest the management looked into widening the access gate; we had an enormous long coach and our drivers had to exercise all their skill to avoid damage! We would certainly consider staying again.

We visited this hotel on a coach tour. The hotel is clean and well laid out. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast plentiful and tasty. Rooms clean and warm. The hotel is in a very quiet location with no other amenities nearby

Chose this hotel as a stopover on our way home because it had a restaurant which was supposedly open for dinner on Sunday evening. This proved not to be the case the young man on check in was very helpful at suggesting places we could eat. Liked the shower which changed colour to help you not waste water - great idea. Breakfast was good.

Really lovely stay. The beds are fantastic and the staff is incredibly helpful. Thank you especially to the reception staff for solving our booking mishap!! The breakfast in the morning is very complete as well. Honestly, we were only around Lille for 3 days but next time we come in, we'll book again!

The hotel was very good, the staff were helpful and kind. However the restaurant was very bad. It looked Like the fish was the cheapest from Aldi and the beef stew was definitely boil in the bag. The portion of brussels sprouts on the side had been cooked to death and was a horrible mush. We did say something to the waitress but she did nothing to rectify it even though its the hotel's moto at the front desk is to fix it. The price for the meal was not cheap so it feels like we have been cheated. My advice is do not eat there, find somewhere else.

Facilities are all clean and useful. I recommend to stay here!

The hotel is located in a very quiet area but is not close to town. The room smelled a little funky but we got used to it. Clean and quiet with free parking. It was cold in our room and we couldn't get the heat to turn on. The staff was friendly and helpful. They offered us another room but we chose to stay put. Small room.

All boxes expertly ticked. Ample parking. Slightly small but fine room and good restaurant. The staff were pleasant and professional too. Clean and comfortable bed. The web site should get some new photographs. The current ones do not do it justice.

the hotel and staff were good, breakfast choices were excellent, the only downside to this hotel was that no english teabags were in my room, only 3 teabags, 1 peppermint tea and 2 green teas, and i hate both, no milk provided, and when i deliberately didnt put the sign on the door whilst out, so that they would come in and clean room, they didnt stock the tea tray, and i did the same the next day and left a note, and still did not put any teabags or milk on the tray, and they came into my room both days, as they had put the discount card on the bed for me for my discount on a drink in the bar. so i wasnt impressed with the room services
