Mark has the sweetest little place and especially if you are travelling alone it is the perfect place. Both Mark and his family are so sweet and helpful and they make you feel very welcome. Mark and his wife made a Sri Lankan breakfast for me that was very good, but if you are not into that, they will make you a very good but more basic breakfast too. Mark is very good in English and you will get to know some Sri Lankan history. If you are not really sure where to start in Sri Lanka and what’s up and down, Mark is a certified tourist guide and will be ready to help with whatever you like and is able to take you on tours around Sri Lanka or just around Negombo if you rather want that. The room is very clean with an attached toilet, which has a great shower and the AC is a very nice touch to a very hot Sri Lankan. Also mark was ready to pick me up at the airport when I arrived in Sri Lanka, which was so nice not having to worry about after a long flight. Overall it was an amazing first couple of days in Sri Lanka where I felt save, welcomed and helped!
