I have known the Blue Heron for many years. I knew it was an older motel. Our room was very clean, The water was so nice and soft. No noise, no disturbances. Ice machine was well accessible. I had reserved a King bed/room and they took my reservation. When we got there, we were told that all of the king rooms/beds were being worked on. Wife asked about a Queen. No, we don't have any. So we went from a King to a double with no apology, refund or anything. We were the 1st to check in that day. I know it was winter time at the beach but they should have told me they had no king rooms available and let me make other arrangements. They should have marked these rooms off as not available when you reserved them. That overrode any good things that I received from them.
