The Grand Sarai is located in a historical building in the center of the old town. It offers nice, comfortable, clean rooms and a breakfast buffet that has an excellent selection of very good, fresh and tasty options. It is easy to explore the beautiful town of Nafplio on foot and there are some excellent restaurants just around the corner. Although there is no car parking at the hotel, one can drive up very close to the hotel to unload the baggage and there is plenty of parking within a few minutes walk from the hotel. On the day we left the hotel there were in town driving restrictions due to a bike race and a running marathon, so we had to log our baggage through the streets to the car parked at the harbor, but the owner of the hotel graciously helped us with the baggage and come along all the way to the parked car, reflecting the outstanding service being provided at the hotel.

This is a lovely hotel in delightful Napflio. Christos, at the Front Desk, is excellent, with a perfect personality for a hotel. He is kind, thoughtful, considerate and nothing is too much trouble. The buffet breakfasts were excellent and Marina looks after it so well. The rooms are lovely, comfortable beds and pillows. I spent my last two days here and it was a wonderful way to end my trip.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel. It is situated in a perfect spot, looking down over the town to the sea. We stayed in the suite at the top, and enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the views. The room was quiet and comfortable. The only thing that could be improved upon is the breakfast, which was just OK. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can park for free in the road by the fire station about a 10 min walk away. (Just be careful to check where you park on a Tues evening, or you may find your car in the middle of a very busy market when you return to it on the Wednesday, as we did!!)

Fell in love with it straightaway ❤ Everything about this hotel was wonderful – highly recommended! Most conveniently located within a 2-minute walk from the historic centre but just away enough from the hustle and bustle and noise of the city square with the most romantic view. The room (203) was fairly sized, with a comfy bed, selection of pillows and a balcony that offers a magical view, especially early in the morning and during sunset. Bathrooms looked very recently renovated and room interior was clean whilst preserving the ‘island feel’. Exceptionally clean throughout the hotel and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Last but not least the superb breakfast with plenty of choices freshly prepared by Mrs. Foteini. I would certainly revisit!

Excellent little boutique hotel with amazing hospitality…rooms were much bigger than I expected as this is a little gem in an amazingly picturesque town full of history. Rooms were also very clean and the bathrooms were spacious and modern having been recently renovated as the staff proudly announced.

The whole house is well renovated, nicely painted, and a little remote from the crowded village. We had a room on the 3rd floor which was the largest I believe and we did appreciate that as well as the balcony. Superb views. Breakfast is average but good with nice service. Other than that, few interactions with reception. Maybe because it was the low season, the staff was almost too discrete. One point of attention for travelers: it is a house which means that you hear your neighbors.

Clean, nicely appointed, and staff who are both friendly as well as helpful. Great breakfast and nice views over the town. Good location for walking the town. Note that you can’t get to the hotel in a car, but the walk is short with only a few stairs.

The Grand Sarai is an absolutely wonderful hotel! We booked a junior suite with a sea view and it exceeded expectations. On the 3rd floor, the room overlooked the charming houses of the town all the way to the sea. It had a small terrace which we enjoyed both morning and evening. It was a perfect spot for a drink at sunset. The room was immaculate with comfortable beds, great air conditioning and impressive windows from which to take in the view. The hotel is located up a flight of stairs in the old town close to the main streets. It’s a short walk to the harbor and a 15 minute walk to the beach. The location is perfect because it’s close to everything, but not in the middle of the bustle of town, so it’s quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is served downstairs and is fresh and varied. One can also take breakfast at small tables outside the hotel as well. We only stayed for two days and I was reluctant to leave. The hotel is charming and historic, but modernized for convenience. I would absolutely stay here again!

This was the 6th time we have stayed here and it's just as perfect as always...rooms are so nice and well furnished and supplied, even with nice fluffy towels! Some, like ours, have great views over the town and the water. Breakfast buffet is amazing array of food! And the staff are so wonderful and helpful in every way, both before you arrive and while you are there. It's like having friends who advise on restaurants, parking, what to see or do... or anything else you might need.
