The check in was easy and quick. Room large, warm, clean and with ensuite bathroom. Staff were all pleasant and helpful, breakfast was good the following morning and they have a large car park to the side and rear of the property for off road parking.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would return without a moments hesitation.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the shower did not stop dripping and one bedside lamp did not work. However the food and service was excellent

A pleasant hotel in an old building. Car parking on site. Large room and spacious bathroom. Food and bar onsite.
Good location in small village for local attractions but limited public transport.

Understand that current owners have died and hotel is for sale as a going concern. Staff making valiant efforts to keep it going and to be congratulated. They are proud of its history and part of the local community. New owners will need to spend to update the structure

The hotel is a lovely old property, decorated and furnished in a way which reflects the age and character of the building without being slavishly traditional or old fashioned. We especially liked the local artwork displayed throughout.
Our room was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom also very spacious. The sunken bath with shower was a good solution to the low ceiling height but would be quite difficult for some to manage.
There are obviously aspects of the fixtures and fittings which could do with a bit of care and attention - eg. one of the discs labelling the hot and cold basin taps was missing and the other was loose and kept falling off.
The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and perfectly cooked.
The large and easily accessible car park is a real bonus.
All in all we had a most enjoyable stay at this characterful hotel in the centre of the beautiful village. Very good value for money.

I had a very comfortable two night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were very friendly (which matters when you are on your own!).
