Dell Mar Guesthouse

We recently had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Del Mar B & B in a superb room overlooking the tennis courts. The attention to detail was first class with all the little extras in the room. Susan the owner brought us a coffee and a slice of her famous lemon drizzle cake as we checked into our room. The room was lovely with a super king size bed, a great sitting area in the bay window with comfy chairs and tea / coffee & biscuits to just sit relax and enjoy the view. It also had a huge bathroom and I've got to say the fluffiest and best smelling towels ever!!. Fantastic breakfasts and we tried the haggis, which we really enjoyed. Free parking right outside and only a 5 minute walk into Moffat. Would definitely return. Thanks Steve & Dee

We stayed at Dell-Mar B&B for two nights on a trip through Scotland. We were greeted upon arrival, shown our room, and were offered Lemon Drizzle cake with a cup of tea. We didn't refuse! The room featured a king sized bed, a desk in the corner, and two chairs with a table that held a hospitality tray featuring tea/coffee/ milk and a cookie treat. The bathroom was ensuite with a sliding pocket door for closure. The shower was electric, but supplied sufficient hot water. Towels were large and fluffy. There was one washcloth, of which I was appreciative. Shampoo and body wash were combined into one pump that is adhered to the wall. There was packaged bar soap for the face. A hair dryer was in the desk with a plug right in front of a very large mirror. Our room overlooked the street and tennis courts. It was quiet as the windows have an extra layer of insulation. The room could be cozy warm, but we turned off the heat as we enjoy the room temperature a bit cooler. There was a small flat screen television in the room, and we watched bits of the Queen's funeral procession while there. It didn't appear that the room was refreshed while we were out as we did have to ask for water glasses upon return from our walk, but Susan was quick to remedy that. Breakfasts were in a special downstairs room with a large window. I ordered the mushroom cheese omelet one day, and the vegan banana pancakes the second morning. Both were marvelous! Fruit was offered as well as yogurt, if one desired. Parking is right outside on the street. We left the car parked there for our entire stay, walked into town, and to the trail along the river. Both were quite convenient. If you are staying in Moffat, I would highly recommend staying here as it is away from the noise, yet convenient to everything within walking distance. Susan has the highlights on all of the local walking trails and she will steer you in the right direction!

Friendly welcome with tea and delicious homemade cake. Everything clean and attractive. Comfy beds good ensuite. Well cooked delicious breakfast. An excellent place to break a long journey. Hostess a mine of helpful informarion.

We stayed for two nights in the generous Chapel View room which looks over the tennis courts to the beautiful Moffat countryside. Two comfortable chairs by the large window allowed us to enjoy the room. The beds, organised as twins at our request, were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Check in was online and included request for some unnecessary information. Ignore and don’t let that put you off. Enjoy your stay.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Del Mar. Our room was well appointed and of generous proportions. We had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. When we next visit Moffat we will stay again.

This is a lovely b&b - comfortable, clean, very close to Moffat town centre and Susan and David are really friendly and welcoming hosts. The bed was huge, the cake on arrival was delicious and breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. We will recommend.

Needed a quiet relaxing stay as visiting mum in hospital . Lovely couple ! Was so quiet lovely and dark in the mornings as proper curtains not light sheets like other venues lol Good variety of breakfast Good location few mins from the lovely town filled with pubs and great mountounous scenery . Will return .

Ideal location for stopping en-route to the Highlands. Excellent room, quiet, and clean with nice touches like fresh milk for tea/coffee in your room . Susan and David are brilliant hosts with lots of local knowledge and the breakfast will keep you going all day!

Lovely B&B, Susan and her partner are great and very friendly hosts. You can choose your breakfast, which was all days really nice. The room was spotless. It's a 2 minutes walk to all pubs and shops. Loch Skeen and St. Marys Loch are close by too
