Post-Hotel

Stayed here on a hiking tour. This hotel was the hi-light of our tour. Really lovely reception, stunning rooms above a hustling Main Street, super modern bathrooms and the swimming pool and spa were the icing on the cake. Could definitely have stayed an extra day here. We also ate in restaurant as being Sunday everywhere else in town seemed deserted and closed. Good resonable in restaurant, and standard breakfast for this area. The only place we stayed they produced gluten free bread in the morning.

We had a one night stopover. The hotel is right on the main street of pretty Mittenwald. The room was comfortable with a balcony with a view of the mountains. We had dinner in the restaurant at the front of the hotel which was an enjoyable meal & breakfast the next morning which had a good choice. Would have liked to do toast but no toaster. Only little gripe was the bar in the hotel lounge area was shut so no chance of a evening drink which was a shame. Also reception, inititally on check in and then later on we went to reception and someone was sitting out the back but didn't come to the front to see us for some while which was a bit rude. Overall though a good hotel that I would recommend.

The staff were excellent - they went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Everything was wonderful - the room, the food, the amenities, location, staff. We will definitely return to Mittenwald and the Post Hotel.

Mittenwald is amazing town, and the post is a lovely hotel. Staff were all very friendly, we don’t speak a lick of German but they still made it work. The room was large, especially for European standards, and comfortable. Also came with two free beers from the local brewery every day. There is no air con but with the window open even in summer it was pleasant. Downside of the window open is the bell tower (but even that is kinda nice), big upside is the smells of the bakery across the street in the morning. Simply amazing. Breakfast was good but don’t go down too late or it’s a bit limited.

All I can say is that staying here for one night was amazing and I am thinking of going back to Mittenwald to stay at this hotel AGAIN!! Everything was perfect. The room the location the breakfast the garden the pool the staff the interior the exterior. Just the best.

The Post Hotel is located perfectly in the centre of Mittenwald. The front side is facing the main street, the back side is accessible for cars and has a parking area. Rooms are clean and comfortable and have (in our case) a large private bathroom and balcony. The breakfast is really good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recommendable.
