Primland Resort, Auberge Resorts Collection

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. The Front Desk Agent, Wendy, is an anomaly of disorganization. Three times, she "misplaced" my reservation, forcing me to rebook my room. I called and set a wake-up call for 0800 precisely. On any given day, I'd get calls at anywhere between 0930 and 1230. Each time I went to the desk to ask a question, Wendy was constantly disrespectful and distracted, and I'd wait over an hour for any kind of answer. The resort itself is fine, but please move her somewhere else

Beautiful, upscale retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering a gorgeous golf course, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, ATV rentals, full-service spa, and many other activiites. All the activities, amenities & dining experiences are excellent, in a relatively casual a**osphere.

Primland is a special place and I highly recommend for a romantic getaway! The property is amazing and staff is so friendly!

Lovely resort on a beautiful property. Very good food. But this is the second time I’ve gone and had a massage in which the masseuse coughed consistently throughout the session. She even had a cough drop and hot tea to treat her illness. Well today I woke up sick. I’m disappointed Primland doesn’t discourage employees that are sick from providing a service with such close contact to customers. Maybe give them sick time compensation? Do better Primland. Your customers deserve better for what we pay and so do your employees.

Spectacular accommodations with stunning views. High-end golf course meticulously maintained again with absolutely overwhelming views through the entire course. Extremely friendly staff giving five star service but with a local player. Can't say enough about the service any accommodations. The food is slightly better than average, however

Great stay with the family, sp@ and golf course, and the accommodations were first class. I would go back again maybe in the Fall.

My husband and I visited Primland for our anniversary. We traveled from Philadelphia with high expectations. We were greeted by lovely valet & front desk staff but surprisingly were not informed of the many outdoor activities that they offer. My husband did his homework & planned ahead for ATVs horseback riding and spa appts (which were hard to come by 8 months in advance). But we were surprised to learn how much more is offered at the activity center. I think they could do a better job of informing guests about them and the pricing. The food is ridiculously expensive and the fine dining restaurant Elements was disappointing, especially given the price. We thought the 19th Pub was far better but still very overpriced. We had our anniversary dinner at Elements and while everyone wished us a happy anniversary, they offered nothing to make the meal more special. The breakfast was $75 for avocado toast & an omelette both of which were just fair. At these prices your meal should be exceptional and none of them were. In addition when you’re spending $1000/night - they should include something - breakfast, a spa service or an activity. We’ve been too many other places that do. The golf course is incredible, the scenery and nature are beautiful & you do feel like you are the only people here. We stayed at the Pinnacle cottages which was lovely with fantastic views. We heard that when Auberge took over the prices tripled but nothing else changed. We had a wonderful time but would probably not return because of the expense. Special shout out to Cricket at the 19th Pub - she was fantastic & remembered every detail about us. Autumn at the barn guided us on a fantastic trail ride and Zack introduced us to skeet shooting & fly fishing. They made the trip very memorable for us & we really appreciated their hospitality.

Location, staff and facilities are excellent. Treehouse room is unique and worth the experience. Having an observatory is also unique and nice to experience. Food selection provides a nice variety. Guided hike was led by a very knowledgeable and engaging guide.

This was our first visit to Primland and we were very impressed! Everything from the experiences to the food was top notch! Hospitality was excellent! Highly recommend!
