Ulasan Riad Mandalay

It was really nice to be in the authentic riad inside the city wall. I love visiting the local placed with local food. They welcomes me with a nice cup of mint tea.  breakfast was good. I love the birds chirping every morning.

Il riad si trova in una zona molto comoda  della città, l’antica kasbah il vecchio quartiere ebraico (c’è ancora un vecchio tempio, chiuso) testimonianza di  una antica convivenza.  Il riad sarebbe anche gradevole se non fosse davvero abbandonato. Pulizia davvero scarsa ai limiti della decenza Colazione appena passabile, se ci si accontenta , in rapporto al prezzo della stanza  ma, la cosa fantastica è il signore Abdul che governa il tutto. Non ho parole per ringraziarlo per quanto e’ stato  squisito e accogliente in particolare con la nostra piccola Margherita   Che dire solo per questo mi tapperei il naso e ci ritornerei!

Ce Riad a connu des jours meilleurs mais l'accueil est chaleureux et efficace. La chambre, grande et climatisée était propre et le ménage fait tous les jours. Tous les sites sont à moins de 15 mn à pied. Je recommande vivement pour les baroudeurs et voyageurs décontractés. Chochotes, passé votre chemin. Rapport prix/prestation imbattable.

Abdul et Karim ont été géniaux lors de l'entièreté de notre voyage. Ils sont venus nous récupérer à l'aéroport à 2h du matin pour seulement 15€ et ont été disponibles dès qu'il y en avait besoin. Le ryad possède un rooftop sympa pour se poser le soir, une belle piscine intérieur et un petit déjeuner excellent. Les excursions proposées sont de qualité (nous sommes allés à Ouzoud). Le Ryad est assez bien placé, à 5 min des tombeaux saadiens et à 15 min de Jemaa-el-fna. Je recommande vivement le ryad pour les couples ou les familles ! Un grand merci à Abdul et Karim pour ce merveilleux séjour !

Couldn’t be happier with our experience at Riad Mandalay! Iheb, Abdul and the women who upkeep the riad made us feel extremely welcome in a new country we have never been to before. They advised us what to do whenever we asked for help and went completely out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied at all times. Honestly a beautiful and simple riad that is perfect for anyone who would rather appreciate culture and experience over a typical hotel. No menu for dinner and breakfast made an exciting surprise and food was always delicious. Any time we asked for tea we were given it. Employees made us feel very safe and looked after, as two young females travelling alone. And involved themselves in socialising with us and other guests during breakfast and on the terrace in the evening. A little tricky to find at first as is located down a side street but there are many taxis in close proximity which we used- and got them too and from Kasbah Mosque (the road is a three minute walk from there). Would definitely return here if visiting the area again. Iheb also walked us to location we couldn’t find and Abdul went to the pharmacy for me when I hurt my leg. Just amazing people that we were so greatful to be surrounded by. I hope everyone who visits has a just as amazing time as we did. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and advise and be open minded- you’re in Marrakesh not Monaco!!!

The hotel is un safe its dirty and staff are rude. Drilling at 12 at night. Cold shower. The room door did not lock. Mould in bathroom . Never seen anything like it before and love holidays think this is okay. Please avoid do not go near this place at all .

We had the best time, myself and my daughter stayed for 3 nights, we were greeted by Abdul and were made feel very welcome, he is such a lovely man. The riad is typical old moroccan style, which we were looking for. The room was beautiful, spacious and spotless. We had breakfast and dinner included, huge portions of bread, pastries, jams, we had pancakes and omelettes one morning too. Dinner was a one pot in a tagine, absolutely delicious with bread and the most amazing salad, Abdul is to send me the recipe. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

What a fabulous place to stay. This traditional hotel has so much character, and the staff are very friendly. Room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was very prompt every morning. Abdul "the main man" couldn't do enough to help us. Excellent location for the main attractions. Thank you very much Riad Mandalay. We will be recommending you to anyone that is thinking about visiting to Marrakech.

Grubby looking pillows, thick dust under the bed (coin rolled under there), pointless shower, tiny sink without plug, nowhere to unpack, shoebox room,…a big let down compared to the pictures used to advertise this guest house, which I surmise are probably a decade old. A youth hostel would have been more comfortable. The “spa” is in the middle of the courtyard, dirty and uninviting. We were not told breakfast arrangements on arrival so we had no clue. Day 1 we just didn’t have breakfast as we had no idea how to get breakfast and couldn’t find any staff. The only positive I have about this unfortunate booking disaster of ours is that the staff were very helpful when we needed our boarding passes printing off for the earlier flight we booked to get out of there and back home after only two nights. If you still want to stay here, then when you arrive the doorbell is high up to the right of the door ＞.＜
