I stayed at the BCK art riad for 4 nights and I could not recommend a better place. The location is extremely convenient as it is in the middle of various tourist highlights, it sits right by the bustily market- meaning there are various options for food and other necessities. One may think the noise from the market would be carried into the hotel but this is not the case- once you are in the hotel, it is very quiet except during prayer time, which is completely acceptable! I booked the room for myself via an agency, moreover, I had some friends join me and spend some nights with me as their hotel was not up to par; Halim was very kind and understanding of our situation. The room was very cozy, modern whilst still maintaining the Moroccan influence, AC and heating was available, TV with internet connection was present and the Wi-Fi was reliable. The art displayed around the hotel was the selling point for me as I am an art lover; there were lots of fabulous pieces and Halim was kind enough to share abit of information on the pieces. Halim and Idris were also amazingly helpful at describing (and sometimes accompanying us to) various pick-up points for our pre-scheduled activities. The rest of the hotel team also showed great hospitality during our stay, so I look forward to returning very soon!

We were very well received despite the late flight time. The proposed guide spoke Portuguese and was 5⭐. The New Year's Eve dinner at the Riad was delicious. Thank you to the whole team💯. Lack of bath privacy on family suite.

We have just returned after spending 3 nights here. The place was a little quirky but had a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was great. Room was spacious but there was no shower just a free standing bath in the room. Rooms were not sound proof and you could hear everything through the shutters. Ali and Salima were both great. Very friendly and willing to help. The older manger was friendly but we were very disappointed with the recommendation from him in regards to excursions. DO NOT use the company recommended at the Riad. We did a qua/dinner excursion and is was poor value for money and disappointing to say the least. Overall would recommend the Riad if you want something different and reasonably priced. We didn’t eat there but food smelt great and was reasonably priced at €17 for a three course meal.

It was my second time in Morocco and my partners first time, and the beauty of the riad did not disappoint with the furnishings and location. Breakfast was provided every morning: fresh bread, croissants and orange juice with either tea or coffee. The staff serving this were very attentive. The room was spacious and clean, however the shower was like a pipe attached to the bath faucet which meant that showering was very difficult as it wet all the room. Furthermore, the hot water was not consistent and some days we had to have a cold shower. We met Ali who worked at the riad and for his own work deserves 5 stars. He was very helpful and kind and would advise us on the right prices to pay, where to eat and places to visit around the city. Without him, our stay would not have been as good. He took time out of his day to help us and make us feel comfortable during our stay. Thank you for this Ali. The same cannot be said of the manager. During our stay, despite paying beforehand, he repeatedly asked us during breakfast that we had to pay for the whole week again. We showed him both the bank transactions and the proof of payment but that did not stop him from asking. He wanted us to leave our bank cards with him which we did not feel comfortable doing. After a couple of days, he then realised we had paid and the problem went. Furthermore, when we arrived he said that we had a room upgrade- we did not ask for this but were nonetheless very grateful. However, after three days into our 7 day stay he said that we had to move rooms as other guests had booked this room. We only had three nights left and excursions booked so to move rooms, pack our things ect would’ve been a huge inconvenience. Again, during breakfast he kept saying we have to move rooms. He then indicated that we would have a sofa bed in a small room where everyone eats breakfast and walks past. This room had a bathroom attached that a manager also used frequently so did not feel like a proper bedroom- more like a downgrade. The other staff were very welcoming, kind and polite. This was very important in a busy city like Marrakech as it did provide an oasis of calm.

The Riad is an oasis in the Old Medina. A peaceful setting in the midst of the busy marketplace this Riad is extremely unique and well appointed for the adventurous traveler, making our second trip to Marrakech even better than the first. Morocco is an amazing place, but it can be difficult to navigate and overwhelming if you don't have the right guidance. This is especially true of the Medina in Marrakech but staying in a Riad will provide you an experience like no other any where in the world. At BCK the staff was very friendly and helpful, with all manners of requests. Special mention to Abdou who manages the Riad and has curated an exceptional experience, he took extremely good care of us and acted as our concierge, ensuring we enjoyed fantastic experiences and even helped us shop in the Medina. Five Stars!

Our stay in BCK art riad was fantastic thanks to Ali and Salima. They were absolutely great, I have no words to explain how helpful and genuinely kind they were. They are a great asset and the one reason why I would come back or recommend this riad, because although the place was nice, there’s many good riads in marrakech. They really made a difference and I hope that the owners know that. On the other hand, the manager is not so great. First thing he did when we arrived was going through all of the activities they offer, even after telling him that we were exhausted after a long day of travelling he just kept going. It felt like he just wanted our money. While I understand that this might be part of his job, as a manager he should know that there’s better ways of doing it, it just felt like we were on a market trying not to get scammed and I don’t think it was respectful at all. There was an issue with our room and he kept promising that he would upgrade but he just moved us for one night. Again, he kept promising an upgrade but later told us that the riad was fully booked. That same night we spoke with Ali and Salima and they sorted it out immediately. Very unprofessional. He also kept chasing us for our passports and wouldn’t move from our door even after he saw my friend was coming out of the shower in her towel. I don’t think this is normal, especially coming from the manager, not a random member of staff. We talked to three different guests and they all had very similar experiences with the manager. However we all agreed that Ali and Salima were both great and that it wouldn’t have been the same without them. Honestly, I really don’t understand why they have that manager instead of Ali and Salima, they seem to be way more efficient and competent and made our stay lovely. Salima even organised a birthday surprise for my friend when I said it was her birthday, and Ali picked us up every time we went out at night! Other than this, the riad was beautiful and very well located. If in doubt book this riad, other than the manager everything was great and I’ll definitely come back.

Loved this beautiful hotel and the staff is amazing ❤️ Salima and Ali were the best ❤️ The location is very goid in the Medina. Easy to walk around, easy to get a taki, wonderful and helpful people everywhere. A shower would be nice next time 😉

This place is actually a dar not a riad, but that's not my quibble. The layout with all the rooms' windows centering the enclosed breakfast area means a lot of noise and no privacy. Our room didn't even have a full wall to insulate us from the din of breakfast one storey below. Just a curtain where there should have been drywall. The room itself was massive and fantastically decorated. Loved it. But I couldn't stay here again because of the lack of privacy and noise, We actually had to whisper so the other guests couldn't hear us; plus were kept up by the clang of kitchen prep other guests watching a soccer game in the lobby a few feet away from our curtain etc. Plus the manager wanted to charge us Eu 20 for a taxi to the airport, So we got our own cab and it was less than Eu 5. The rooftop area was rundown and the main eating area is in dire need of refurbishment. Overall, it felt like camping. On the plus side; the wifi was great.
