Riad Sidi Omar

Centrally located and very welcoming, lots of good advice from the friendly owner Omar. We were only in Marrakech a few nights but thanks to his tips saw the sights when less crowded and went to a few such as the museum of photography which are less well known. The breakfast is great, room was comfy and quiet at night, despite being a few minutes walk from the middle of the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Omar and his family . They went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. They breakfast was made fresh and was delightful way to start the day. I esp enjoyed the yogurt with rose water ! The rooms were wonderfully cool during the day and warm on cold nights. Very centrally located near main square, great restaurants and the souks. We felt like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel.

Authentic, cultural experience staying at this Riad. The owner & his family were so helpful . A Riad is a family house with a courtyard. We booked via *********** and it was good value for money. I had 6 family members in total . Omer went out of his way to take us to nearby locations on his scooter & to make arrangements for us like porter and day trip to waterfall and hammam . We enjoyed our conversations. His sister Karima was genuinely wonderful & warm…she really took care of us & served our breakfast to align with our timings. We felt bad coming back late as we had to ring the bell to enter. The owner & family have to sleep too! If there was some sort of key system it would have been good. There were some maintenance issues like window pane missing in the room window, window shutters not closing & shower thermostat not working (we got scalded) . Omer immediately fixed the sagging curtain himself when we highlighted. The ensuite bathroom had no door to the bedroom which we found wierd so if a door would fitted it would be great! We were told that could not have more than one pillow per person nor bath/shower gel/soap so that’s not ideal. So guests should bring their own toiletries. Sound travels very easily through the walls do not much privacy …so had to keep our voices down. Lovely hearing the birds chirping from the courtyard. Pictures of desert & tents on the *********** website mean that you have to travel 100s of km….not in the Riad

We had a truly wonderful and amazing stay at the riad with Oman and Jawad they really made us feel welcome and like we was part of the family . The Riad was very well located and was easy to find after we navigated our way around . The riad was lovely and cool and so peaceful . We enjoyed the breakfast and the hospitality given to us , Mohammad was such a wonderful gent and so kind . We also had the opportunity to make our own lamb tajine which was amazing and the best we’d ever had . Omar and Jawad booked all Our excursions to ilmil , Essaouira, Atlas Mountains , Ourika Valley and a Hamman Spa which was really cheap , they also sorted our car hire for us for 10 days to make sure we had the best and safest . They also collected us from the airport . On our arrival back to Marrakech at the end of the holiday we stayed in their other riad for 2 days which was wonderful and nice way to end our holiday and last minute shopping . The advice and knowledge they gave us was great and Jawad accompanied one of our trips too . We really enjoyed our time here and the hospitality we had was amazing and made it that extra special . Jawad and Omar thankyou so much for your kindness and generosity and hopefully we will meet again one day 👌🤩

Great location, fantastic service and perfect breakfast. The combination it made a perfect stay in Marrakesh. The Riad is so close to everything, but you still have the feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere. Always service with a smile and they happily want to help you with all sort of questions

I stayed here for a week with my sister and am so glad I found this lovely family-run riad in the heart of the Medina. Prior to coming to Marrakech, I communicated with Omar (the owner) who was very helpful and assured me that we would be in good hands which we certainly were! Despite being in such a good location, the riad is tucked away enough that you don't hear any of the outside hustle and bustle and is a peaceful getaway. Breakfast was included, available at whatever time suited us and prepared beautifully by Karima. The riad organised several excursions for us (we were mostly driven around by Jawad) : quad biking and camel riding in Agafay, trip to ourika valley, horse riding, and a trip to their gorgeous other property (riad sidi hicham) to make use of the secluded space and private pool, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. They also arranged for us to go to 2 traditional hammams which Samira took us to, as well as around the souks, restaurants, and for some sightseeing, which was so kind of her! We truly felt like we had found a home away from home and gained a whole new Moroccan family!
