Premier Inn London Docklands (Excel)

Access to this hotel was close to St.Regent's station, although a bit hindered by the building work going on. The room was simple and clean but the bedding felt cheap. There were no shops or restaurants nearby and I was told to book a table if I wanted to have dinner at the hotel, which was a little inconvenient. My booking said I wouldn't have air con in the room but I was in fact giving an aircon room...and you needed it! It's quite noisy in the early evening and from 7am, because you can hear the aircraft taking off and landing into London City Airport. I didn't think the hotel was particularly good value for money.

Stayed here for a gig at the O2, got everything you expect with Premier Inn - comfy bed, good breakfast, clean hotel, value for money. Staff were so helpful and friendly, offering us umbrellas for the rain, essentials we had forgotten, and providing a friendly experience at breakfast. Despite the DLR and flights overhead, noise was not an issue in the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Typical premier inn. Comfy. Good overhead shower. Good amount of sockets. Breakfast was fine but lacked cold options like meat, cheese or salad. No decaf tea either in room or at breakfast. Shame works outside which meant slightly longer walk to dlr. No electronic check in but with staff was fine.

Stayed here on 11th May and there area has a lot of refurb building going on. However, the hotel was very clean throught out. Nice warm welcome and a few beers before going out to party. Returning in the early hours to get a good nights sleep, with great value buffet breakfast and heck-out before 12pm. Premier Inn is my preferred choice when travelling to London for either business or pleasure. Would defo return for next years Cause anniversary.

We would fully recommend this hotel. The check in process was easy, staff were very friendly and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great, the DLR line is only less than a 10 minute walk so getting into the City isn't bad. The only downside is the noise from the trains/Airport but otherwise, fantastic

We had a great stay here over the early May bank holiday weekend. It was very close to the DLR which made travel into central London easy for us. Our rooms were lovely with an additional layer of glazing on the windows which pretty much blocked out all the traffic noise and the planes from the nearby airport. I slept very well for the 3 nights we stayed. The shower was lovely, waterfall and regular shower head options. Staff were all very polite and helpful and I cannot speak highly enough of them. We had breakfast every morning, which was lovely with a good choice. We had an evening meal on our last night there which was great value for money. My only criticisms would be that the construction work on the hotel meant we found it hard to find the hotel entrance initially and it didn't look great from the outside/approach. The dinner menu starting at 6pm meant that we couldn't eat in the hotel as we wanted to before our West End show as it would have made us late to the shows on the first 2 nights of our stay. But construction can't be helped really if it needs to be done. We used the pub across the road for our 2 evening meals on the evenings we had shows as they had an all day menu so that was easily solved. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again. The positives outweighed my small criticisms. Great staff and great value.
