Sunrise Resort

The images is not the reality. Do not book this hotel since it’s in terrible condition. Had to move to another hotel Pinkcoco. We were the only ones at the hotel at this time. Pool was dirty and the room vad not in a great condition. Beach towels was not clean and the beach subbeds was not in a good condition. Sad to see a hotel that could be great 😔

Totally run down resort, has bern left for years, all very unkempt. Staff untrained, just young boys do not know how to even make tea. Breakfast poor quality, not much in quantity. Poor area dirty water green uncleaned, in shade due over grown trees not kept well. Bathroom very old taps hardly working, mold in bathroom, only salt water no fresh water at all. Towels in bathroom hard and stained. Towels for beach hard, tatty and stained, all very old. Pool and beach chair cushions very old dirty and stained. Old ruins of apartments on site, the massage area looks like it's been hit by a hurricane falling down and in disrepair. Basically very rundown and in need of a total renovation everywhere. No bar area as mentioned in their hotel description. I'm not sure when the photos on the website were taken, but it does not look like the same hotel.

We stayed here for two weeks this February the hotel was in a very good position close to but not too near the harbour area, easy to walk there though. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel itself was comfortable but tired, pretty grounds and a nice pool area. Unfortunately the rooms did required a deep clean , they weren’t awful but just a bit grubby. Some of the accessories were very dirty ie waste bins/ cushions / seats. Breakfast was included but very poor selection and quantities. Not enough to go around all guests. Staff were very nice, welcoming and pleasant. Overall we had a very relaxed stay .

We had a pretty good stay overall--it got better the longer we were here. Cons: --I'll admit I didn't have the greatest first impression of the hotel. As others have mentioned, the decor is dated and the rooms could use some TLC (e.g. worn-out curtains, water stains on floors, etc.). It didn't help that half of the towels we received had stains on them (the staff did replace them though when we brought this to their attention). Otherwise, the room was comfortable. Pros: --Solid location, especially if you are looking to dive or snorkel. We got certified at Manta Dive, which is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. There are several other dive centers on the east side of the island as well. And the snorkeling at the hotel beach is spectacular! --It's also only a 10 minute walk from the boat terminal--definitely doable without using a horse and carriage. --The hotel pool is AWESOME. It's large and the deep-end is deep enough to dive into! --Hotel breakfast is decent--not over the top, but it has you covered. Ask for a homemade banana pancake or an omelette. --Staff was generally very nice. There was one member in particular who was just an absolute ray of sunshine--I'm so mad I forgot to write down his name. We were there for our honeymoon and he was the one who arranged the swan towel on our bed when we first arrived. We didn't end up meeting him till the end of the stay though! There may be better options at a better price point, but this spot ended up working out okay for us as we completed our scuba diving certification.

One of the most beautiful places on Gili air. This charming little hotel is located directly on the beach front, offering undisturbed views over Lombok. The rooms are clean and spacious, bathroom facilities nice, and the bed was perfect. The waiting staff was never in a hurry 😅 but when showing up with your order you would never be disappointed! The food was AMAZING, drinks too. The prize in the restaurant is slightly higher than the other close by restaurants and bars, however the servings where bigger and quality at a completely different level, so well worth it. Hotel offers bike rental and boat trips at same prices as what you would pay booking on the Main Street, and has snorkeling gear for guests to use. Pool is fairly big and hidden away from the street offering a nice cool swim always partly in the shades in the beautiful garden

Way overpriced - should have read previous reviews before booking. We had to request a room change due to the stench of sewage permeating the bathroom and bedroom. Resort very run down - needs a complete overhaul- not worth the money in today market. Firmly on my list of places to never stay again.
