Guya Wave Hotel

To begin the review you need to know that this is a party hotel, do not ever book it if you hope to get any peace and quiet as it will never happen. There are very loud parties in at least half of the rooms in the whole hotel. Young, drunk German adolescent kids are running around the hotel all day and night, screaming from the top of their lungs, Slamming doors and dragging the metal furniture on a tilled floor. No earplugs in existence will help to block the noise. To make our experience even worse we have been lied to by the receptionist that the room they have put us in was the Premium Room that we have paid for. When we have realised after 2 days of suffering through the worse noise from adjacent rooms that they have put us in a cheaper room they tried to come up with a lot of excuses, my favourite being that everyone likes the room we have been given and they though we will like it better than the premium room. I am not kidding, this is what Ralph, the manager of the reception said to us. After two days of complaining about the noise they have told us that they will relocate us to a building next to the main hotel as a favour, this is when we realised that this is the exact room we have paid for initially but we were put in the inferior room with a pool view. After having a word with the manager of the hotel he said he is sorry and we can have one dinner for free tonight to make up for the ordeal. We told him that this is not acceptable to us as if the dinner was of the same quality as the breakfast we had every day we rather eat in town. The behaviour of people in the reception was very sketchy from the get go and it became more hostile when they realised that we throw a fuss about being put in the cheaper room that we have paid for. I never believed this was a mistake, it was a deliberate act and I am sure it has been done to many tourist staying at this hotel. So you have been warned and there are much more, better hotels to choose from. The last thing that was awful was the Wi-Fi connection at the hotel, it was completely unusable. You had to wait 5 min for any website to load and you can forget about using any streaming services like Netfix etc.

Beautiful place to stay,very comfortable and clean room,staff very friendly and always helpful, we enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this place to stay. Breakfast was always freshly made and lots of to choose from

I had several problems and left the hotel after the first night. I will try to summarize: - Arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. The night porter was friendly but had no idea of several things I've asked. - Entering the appartment, it was freezing and very wet/humid. Probably the air conditioner was running the whole day in a very low temperature. I looked for a remote control to turn it off, unsuccessful. - I explained it to the night porter. He said that there is no remote control and only the staff during the day has access to turn it off or higher/down. - So I asked for a blanket. It took several minutes and he found a blanket anywhere. The blanket was stinking of mold. Horrible. So, we had the worst hotel night ever... in a humid room, with a mold stinking blanket and with neighbors having loud sex. - In the morning I booked another hotel to get far away of that very bad hotel. - Also in this morning I went to talk to the manager and explained everything, that I was totally dissatisfied. He was comprehensive and apologized. But anyway I would not like to stay there and I was braking up my planed 3 nights to only 1 night. And so I asked for a compensation from the hotel, as I was not staying there anymore. The manager took my contact details and said he will come back to me. - To summarize, after several calls to the hotel and several times here "we are working on that, but we are busy.." or "the hotel director is analysing", after 2 months I heard "Booking said that yout (the customer) needs to open contact". I kindly asked to forward me this e-mail they got from Booking with that instruction but I never got any e-mail and I gave on trying to get a fair compensation for all that trouble. So, I do not recommend this hotel. They weren't fair, professional and interested on a customer need.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Guya Wave. The hotel is centrally located between the beach to the North and the port to the South, and you are close to supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. The multi-lingual staff (German, English and Spanish from what I heard spoken fluently) are so warm, attentive and engaging. Street parking was available for free in front of the hotel and surrounding and we never struggled for a parking spot. They also help visitors hire cars locally if necessary. The common areas such as the lounge and pool are clean, bright and well-maintained. The pool was the perfect temperature and was bordered by a lovely garden to explore. The bonus was that the tall trees provided shade throughout the day on one side of the pool, so there was a lovely mix of shade and sun. Perfect for families. There is a wading pool as well for young children. There is a pool table and some games/books in the common areas. The restaurant served an amazing English/Continental breakfast with a pancake/omelette chef. Our room was large and bright with a balcony a bedroom which had two single/one double bed and a large lounge with a single bed and two convertible sofas. There were only two of us, but a room for 5 people for £60 a night is a great bargain. We were able to get a mini-fridge for the room and there are tables inside and on the balcony for some al fresco dining. The beds were also clean and comfortable and the rooms were regularly serviced. We found it the perfect spot to chill out and relax with two TV's (one with German satellite and one with general Euro cable). Free Wifi and plenty of charging points. We had a fantastic time and I would especially recommend for younger travellers who are new to travelling (but not too much party-people) and are looking for something safe. The staff were so helpful with recommendations and tips that all travellers will feel taken care of. Highly recommend.

La experiencia ha sido formidable. Un 10 a todo el equipo, en especial a Marka Antonia q es con la q hemos tenido más trato y con Ramón el cocinero q ha preparado unos okatos para la cena muy ricos la habitación amplia y limpia.la ubicación en cala ratjada muy céntrica.esoeto volver al año q viene

Hotelkamer was keurig schoon en groot. (Verschilt wel qua grootte) Prima geslapen op de bedden. Badkamer was ook ruim, met prima douche. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet met o.a. pannenkoekjes, gebakken eieren ter plekke klaargemaakt. Op het terras en aan het zwembad zijn de drankjes betaalbaar. Goedkoper als verwacht. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Top!

Tutto ottimo! Colazione e cena abbondante e buona! Stanza grande con condizionatore, tv, terrazzo e un bel bagno. Posizione comodissima per qualsiasi tipo di bisogno, in quanto si trova proprio nel paese, e quindi è possibile andare a piedi dappertutto, inoltre da qui è possibile raggiungere numerose spiagge bellissime. Se volete passare giornate in tranquillità c’è anche una grande piscina con sdraie, ombrelloni e bar. Spesso fanno anche dj set. Grazie Guya per questa splendida vacanza a Cala Rtjada.

Personale molto accogliente e gentile. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni necessarie per ambientarci e goderci al meglio la nostra vacanza. Colazione molto buona e varia. Posizione eccellente. Camera spaziosa con terrazzo.

Zimmer abgewohnt, Einrichtung alt, nicht richtig sauber, zu wenig Handtücher,…. Aber das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend!
