Hôtel du Golf Saint Lazare

We chose this hotel as we were picking up friends from the airport early the next morning. It was one of the few hotels in the area where the restaurant was open on a Monday evening. As it was our wedding anniversary (possibly our last as I have stage 4 cancer) we had hoped for a decent meal and a good bottle of wine. We didn't have high expectations but we had not anticipated such a terrible experience. We arrived in the restaurant and were told to wait on the terrace for a member of staff to show us to a table. We did as instructed (or at least my wife did, as I can't be out in the sun during my chemotherapy treatment). After 10 minutes or so, we were eventually seated inside. Absolutely nobody smiled, or seemed pleased to have us as customers. We ordered an aperitif and were told we must order the wine at this point too, and the waitress would come back to take our food order, which seemed a little strange to us. Almost half an hour later, the waitress returned to take our food order. It wasn't even very busy, and we were the only diners indoors at this stage. We ordered our starters and we had been looking forward to sharing a côte de boeuf for the main course. We were told that it wasn't available on this particular evening, so the waitress handed us back the menus to choose something else and we asked for a couple of minutes to reconsider. When she came back 20 minutes later, we both ordered the entrecôte. After what seemed like another long wait, a different waitress arrived at our table with the two entrecôtes! Where was our starter, we asked, but she had no idea. So we ordered again. When the hastily prepared starter arrived a few minutes later, we told them that we didn't want the same two steaks to come back to the table reheated, but it turns out that was exactly what they were planning to do as they told us that they were the last two entrecôtes. In a steak restaurant? Seriously? The only apology we received was from the junior waitress who explained that her colleague had forgotten the starter. Everyone else we complained to was utterly indifferent. We were asked to choose something else from the menu but by this time we had lost all confidence in both the waiting staff and the kitchen, so we took our bottle of wine back to our room. Thankfully we were only charged for the drinks. Here is a hotel striving to be average and utterly failing to reach that target. There is probably a good reason why all their staff appear so miserable.

Pleasantly surprised with this for an overnight stop. Just 5 mins from the Autoroute and a pretty easy find. Plenty of parking at front of hotel adjacent to rooms. Check in was smooth. Room was decent athough for a mid Feb visit we found we needed to bump up the heater to get it to an acceptable temperature. Facilities were good with, tea/coffee and biscuits, a decent bathroom and conplentary toiletries. Again, needed to manually sort the rad in the bathroom to get temperature acceptable. Breakfast was excellent and at €10 pp great value with a brilliant choice. Didn't do dinner as both vegetarian with no real choice beyond fish for us. Yes, would return with only heating in room pushing score down to a 4. With a view over the golf course at back, I can imagine the place is nice in the summer.

Personnel accueillant et professionnel. Chambres spacieuses et confortables. Literie au top. Accès sur l'extérieur et au golf jouxtant. Silencieux. La cuisine du restaurant de l'hôtel est simple mais très bonne et le tarif est tout à fait correct. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et conséquent. Les chiens sont acceptés. Un très bon séjour et une adresse à garder pour la prochaine fois

Accueil d’une grande gentillesse le jour de notre arrivée le 19 août vers 11 heures du matin sans early booking, mise à disposition immédiate de notre chambre qui était prête. Service de chambre parfait pendant notre séjour. Chambre et sdb très bien conçues.

Quand on traverse la France et qu'on veut vraiment se reposer, cet établissement est idéal. L'endroit est très calme, le parking est gratuit, et on a sur place un bon restaurant. De quoi bien recharger les batteries ! Le petit déjeuner est correct, le pain est bon, il y a aussi des œufs brouillés, des fruits... Les prestations sont très bonnes, surtout vu le prix de la chambre ( 60, 30 €). Je souligne aussi la qualité de l'accueil.

Cet hôtel propose depuis peu une maison à 100m de l hôtel avec 3 chambres. Finition haut de gamme et toute équipée. A 220€ la nuit c est imbattable pour une famille un samedi du mois d août. Personnel très aimable. Environnement très calme, mon mari a pu jouer au golf car la maison est sur le parcours. Toutefois, nous avons eu un peu chaud la nuit… bravo!
