Terra d'Alva

Set in the Douro River’s right bank in the International Douro Natural Park, Terra d'Alva is surrounded by the Port Wine vineyards and includes an outdoor swimming pool. The 4-bedroom house features scenic river and Douro Valley views. The 2-bedroom homes feature air conditioning, central heating, a living area, private bathroom and an equipped kitchenette. The accommodation has views over the Douro River and the Port wine vineyards. Guests are welcome to prepare their meals in the equipped kitchenettes, and enjoy them in the comfortable dining areas. Horse riding and canoeing are available at a surcharge and guests can rent bicycles through the front desk, in order to better discover the surrounding green areas. The Douro riverside area features a varied animal life, including rare bird species, such as the black stork, Royal Eagle and Bonneli’s Eagle. Vila Nova de Foz Côa is a 50-minute drive and is famed for its palaeolithic engraved rocks. Freixo de Espada à Cinta is a 20-minute drive while Almeida’s 18th century fortress is 40 km away. The Salamanca Airport, in Spain, is 100 km away, while the Porto International Airport is a 3-hour drive from the Terra d'Alva.
