The Black Swan Hotel

Excellent food and service. Great range of beers and ciders. We would recommend the Hopical Storm and the Mango cider. The Wensleydale mushrooms were delicious too.

Food was fantastic - reasonable price, good quality and portions Staff was lovely and the place had a good vibe all round

we had a lovely room and bathroom. the bed was comfortable and we had a good evening meal with a hearty breakfast. we will certainly pay a return visit

My girlfriend and I were staying here for one night, but as we only live 35 minutes away we decided just to leave rather than sleep here. The walls are paper thin, every single floorboard creaks, and being on the first floor with another above you hear ever single small movement from above. And to top it all off, there was a lovely inviting patch of dampness on the ceiling. We ate food in the pub while we pondered staying or going home, which is ridiculously over priced for what it is, but not as overpriced as the drinks. A pint of coke was £3.95 and a bottle of Kopparberg was £9.60 which went flat as soon as it was opened! So 2 pulled pork burgers, a pint of coke and the bottle came to an eye watering £41.55. When we were leaving and giving our keys into the landlady she seemed to be shocked that we weren’t happy and was quite rude to us despite us saying we didn’t want a refund or anything, we just weren’t happy and would rather be home than there.

Leyburn is a great Yorkshire market town. The Black Swan is one of three dog friendly pubs serving food. Our room was basic and decor was a bit tired. There was a frustrating lack of hooks for coats and clothes, plus no towel rail. Staff were great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful ,the breakfast was excellent .

Just passing through Leyburn called in the Black swan had a lovely Sunday lunch and a pint of beer served by lovely staff .finished of with a latte.Will definitely call again next time we are passing through

Lovely a**osphere & great background music. I had the steak & Ale pie which was delicious, melt in the mouth steak, pastry melted in the mouth & tasty chips. Partner had the Sausage & mash which he raved about. Really enjoyed the Wensleydale beer too. Thank you for a great night out. Have already booked a return visit in a couple of weeks with friends.

Had steak and ale pie. Was rock solid pastry .couldn't eat it. Also got hunters chicken with cold vegetables sent back got no more. Complained they said vegetables were room temperature. Not offered a refund. Would never go again. Totally shocking to serve food like this. No apology or offered money back
