I had a very happy time staying here. Two terrible reviews were posted the week before I flew out, so I was a bit scared! But I had a brilliant time and would love to return. It's a great hotel, with a lovely atmosphere. Lots of comfy chairs and space for relaxing in the reception area, also plenty more space down in the bar and out on the sundeck. A variety of entertainment in the evenings - shows, singers, a ****** night, karaoke. Ski boot room worked well - being given a locker with a combination code was straight-forward. The hotel has its own equipment hire place down in the boot room and the staff are so friendly, especially Sebastian. Unfortunately I had already pre-hired my equipment because I booked with Crystal and had to go into town to get it, I really wish I had not pre-hired and been able to get it at the hotel as that would have been much more convenient, and the staff were so friendly I was disappointed not to give them my business. People have written in reviews that you can't heat your boots, but the ski hire place has boot warmers behind the counter and offered this service to me for free, so anyone worrying about that, just ask Sebastian and co and they will warm your boots overnight. Very happy with the food. Was quite worried after reading reviews, but I easily found a table every night, and there were always enough plates and cutlery, all of which were clean. Food was always a good temperature and the microwave although I didn't need to use it was also clean (checked several times because of what a previous reviewer wrote about it!) I really liked the buffet set up and there was plenty to choose from, a good variety of starters, mains and desserts and lots of lovely cheese to feast on at the end. Plus unlimited access to water and wine. Staff were really friendly. Helpful on reception when needed. Nice to be greeted on arrival to the dining room each evening and then bid goodnight at the end. Chefs were friendly and the waiters and waitresses cleared the tables efficiently and unobtrusively. Location was great. Just a short walk out of the boot room and up to the slopes. The ski pass shop is there, plus up-to-date information boards. The Menuires chairlift is the closest to the hotel and from there it's easy to go off in whatever direction you wish. Piste maps available at reception. Short walk into town to visit shops and supermarket. Les Menuires is on different levels, the hotel is at La Croisette which seems to be a pretty main area. You can get a lift down to an area called Preyerand and another lift up to Brelin. You don't need to do this because everything you need is already at the La Croisette level. But the lifts are not far from the hotel and it's a fun, novel thing to do if you want to explore. You can fill your water bottles up for free at a water cooler on the reception floor. I have stayed at this hotel groups hotels in La Plagne and Les Arcs previously and found them OK. This hotel is similar but the thing that makes it better is the standard, choice and amount of food available at all meals. For what we paid the food was lovely, hot and plentiful. One annoying thing is the lack of coffee at breakfast. The machines were either busy or inoperable. The staff did bring out an urn with coffee but it soon emptied. The rooms are really small but warm and there is plenty hot water, There were minimal toiletries but more than adequate for a skier. The room was never cleaned during the week we were there or the beds made. The bin was emptied and the towels changed in the middle of the week. Fine for us to be honest. The boot room is OK but can be busy in the morning. There is no heating in it to dry ski boots but you get what you pay for, There was no ski in ski out due to lack of snow but the walk to the lifts is 5 minutes Staff are really nice and the bar is OK apart from children running about. I would certainly go back ####

Personally I've come for the skiing (i ski 8 hours at least every day when conditions permit) , so quite a bit is acceptable to me, which might not be for more relaxed holidays. Plusses. Big reception area with table football and pool table. Comfortable chairs and panoramic windows. One floor down is the bar, which is split level with a film screen and dance floor area. Bar staff are helpful and there is children's entertainment. Nice touch was hot chocolate and snack bars on several evenings by the boot room. Breakfast is plentiful and mostly good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, French breads, cheeses, ham etc. Yoghurt, fried egg cooked to order, cereals and fruit salad. Orange juice, coffee, chocolate & tea. Evenings were to a similar standard lots of choices, including one night moules! Wine and water from self serve taps. Room was tidy and clean with a tv and safe. In my view good enough for purpose but a bit too warm, which helped with drying towels and wet ski gear. There is a boot room and ski hire shop in the basement. It is possible to ski in/out if there is enough snow. Minuses. The bar can be very noisy with children and entertainment. I drank in the reception which is a pain to go down to the bar each time. The bars in town are lively, so you takes your choices. The boot room was unheated in my stay which is a big issue for me as cold, damp and stiff boots make for an unpleasant days skiing. Coffee machines always had queues and broke down. Plates were cold and sometimes dirty as was cutlery. No breakfast provided on day of departure which is really annoying as the coffee machines are there and staff would only need to provide cereals, croissants, bread etc to make that a much more enjoyable event at the cost of one member of staff in early? The room had no services, no bed making, no changes of linen, no bin emptying. TV is all in French not even BBC or CNN. WiFi is a charge of €3 per day (really, in this day and age). The lifts only go down to the bar area, so it's always a flight of stairs into the boot room. Lifts stop on a half level so there are steps up or down to the room corridors. Definitely not one for less able people. Overall, for the price, the hotel was average. I would probably use again but the above items would make it more certain.

Good food;room very dated,nowhere to dry wet clothes, draughty windows, shower doesn’t work properly no boot dryers, unpleasant miserable staff (2 out of 3 on bar). No free WiFi ???? Other guests said the hotel used to be a lot better around 5 years ago

Little worn at the edges but warm and comfortable. First time we have stayed in a French ski resort hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet style breakfast and dinners offered plenty of choice. The hot choices could do with being hotter. However, all very tasty and a great set of choices and you can eat as much or as little as you want. No daily maid service so you may need to empty bins and ask reception for more toilet rolls etc.

Unfortunately not a good experience with the restaurant, running out of food, crockery it was a bun fight each day. Rooms not services at all - needed to ask reception for toilets rolls, bins to be empties and clean towel ( noting in there info to say this) Wardrobe doors fell off 6 times (I fixed again) , light outs and general grubby

I’ll start with the very few positives. The location is near the lifts and the town centre. The bed was comfortable. The rest..! Food- utterly revolting. The dishes were never hot and clearly with the poorest quality ingredients. You would be hard pushed to make food taste this bad, even with mass catering. The spaghetti bolognese was swimming in oil and water. Translucent coloured mince, zero flavour.. awful. The pork chop as leathery as the bottom of your shoe, overcooked soggy vegetables .. I could go on to describe the other atrocities. I would happily eat plain simple well cooked food but this is prepared and made to put anything in the stomachs of 200 people and the Greece report to offer the worlds best cuisine: good chefs can still make food for volume, this is not the case at this hotel. My expectations were low but the food offer was beyond my worst nightmare. Everything is watered down, even the soup! You are in France but you can’t even get a decent coffee in the morning. We ended up walking into town every morning to buy a decent croissant and a coffee, ate on the mountain for our main meal and basically ate a bit of bread and cheese for our evening meal. A complete waste of £1000 a week half board, we barely ate anything here. Two of our group were sick from the food. The bedrooms are very outdated and very, very small. The bathrooms are very old, peeling paint. We had no water pressure and sometimes the water was cold. There is NO room service, no towel change. No cleaning full stop! You queue for everything, entirely self serve .. so you spend a lot of your week simply waiting behind strangers, for food, drinks, the lift… if like us you are out on the top floor with staff!! Two of the group were ill, probably the food as nobody else got a bug. Ski locker didn’t work and the area to get skis on and off was bedlam in the morning and evening. Overall, avoid this place at all costs. You’d be better booking a self catering apartment for half the price and buying the delicious prepared food from the various delicatessen and bakeries in the centre. Had a great week with our family but this hotel and ski company had nothing to do with that. This should be called an extremely LOW budget hotel for customers with no taste buds and a very strong immune system.

On arrival at hotel, quick check-in, initially found only two lifts to serve 16 floors so a bit busy on arrival, but discovered that more lifts behind these two that stop between floors. Rooms pretty basic and small, but this was expected. Shower cubicle very cramped, especially for larger members of our party, but water hot and good pressure. Comfortable beds. Nowhere to sit in room other than bed. Good to have a fridge. No housekeeping, again expected, towels changed halfway. Food; first evening, the restaurant seemed disorganised, it would have been good to have had a designated table, with people just wandering looking for places to sit and finding plates etc. The food on offer was a good selection, soup, salad/cold meats, variety of mains and side dishes. Could have been topped up quicker. Good variety of desserts, ice cream and cheese but again could have been replenished quicker. Red & white wine on a help yourself basis, both ok. Breakfast, again chaotic, tables not laid, people wandering around for trays, cups, glasses, plates etc. Good selection of cheese, yogurts, ham, fruit salad, cereal & muesli, along with a bacon and sausages. Only four coffee machines so long queues and then running out of coffee or milk. Self-clear, trolleys did not get emptied quickly enough, so empties left on tables. Bar area had plenty of seats and the entertainment that we stayed for a couple of nights was good (singer and Pirate Show). Large reception area with pool and football tables. Ski-room; we were initially given one locker for 5 persons, which was a real squeeze, but when we requested another locker, it was readily supplied. Not much space or seats when getting boots on and no boot heaters. Combination lock supplied for each locker. Door out onto small uphill path to a slight decent to main lifts, although when snow started to disappear, short walk across stoney area. On return, if you found the right path could ski to ski-room door. Staff friendly and helpful and happy to put up with my attempts at French. Overall, a good stay, hotel in a good position and the skiing great. Would properly not return to this hotel as would be prepared to pay a more for better room and food service. Group of 5 adults

I was guest at the hotel with some friends and had a wonderful staying. The stuff is really polite and helpful! The hotel is cozy, at top location. There are nice relax zones and many activities inside and outside the hotel. The restaurant is wonderful with variety of food. The rooms had enough space for clothes, epic view ti the mountain from the windows, because of the location-very close to the shops, restaurants and lifts. Leaving the hotel in a hurry I forgot some of my documents and money in the room's safe. I had very quick response from the hotel and they helped sending my documents and money to Bulgaria. I definitely recommend it!!!
