Saltmarshe Hall

Best afternoon tea ever. We thought this exceeded Betty’s in York and Harrogate, and the Dorchester in London. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The hotel itself is next to the river and has lovely walled gardens. We will definitely go again.

What a lovely hotel. Off the beaten track (but not too far) but worth it. Lovely building, nice staff and warm welcome. I got a real bargain rate and it was so worth it. Great breakfast cooked to order. Might not be on everyone’s lit but super car charging. Really helpful girl on reception sorted a full nights charge and ready for following days travel.

Friendly and accommodating staff. The room was wonderful. Immaculate with great furnishings and crisp, clean bed linen. A pleasant dining room and dinner and breakfast was delicious. This stay surpassed our expectations. Would definitely return without hesitation.

Just returned from a excellent over night stay.We stayed in the Saltmarshe suite and will definitely be booking again soon. All the staff are so very friendly and helpful.Both our evening meal and breakfast was very good and well presented.From walking in to be greeted with a spectacular staircase you know your stay will be brilliant.

I Came for a dinner with friends and stayed the night. Superb hotel, friendly and helpful staff, the room was comfortable tastefully decorated in keeping with the Hall itself. I enjoy food and have eaten at some excellent restaurants and have to say the food was one of the best meals I have had for a some time. I Couldn't recommend Saltmarshe enough, superb in every way.

We do not have the words to fully explain how brilliant the Saltmarshe Hall team are. From the minute we arranged a visit to the venue, they were so attentive, personable and could not have been more accommodating. As soon as we drove up to the hall, we knew it was the venue for us – its elegant, timeless, yet homely style was very much what we were aiming for. It was so hard to decide where to have our ceremony as there are so many equally beautiful locations around the hall and gardens. Ashleigh was able to help extract the scrambled vision from my mind and help us turn it into a reality. From start to finish, Ashleigh was the most unbelievable co-ordinator we could have asked for – friendly, organised and a keen eye for detail. On the day, Ashleigh, Tim, Amy and the rest of the team were central – so many guests commented on how the staff felt like a part of the day and were so warm and accommodating. We genuinely could not have asked for more and at no point throughout the process did we feel as though it was a service. Every member of staff made us feel as though our wedding was as important to them as it was to us. Even though there was a wedding the day before ours and an event the day after, there was never the feeling that it was ‘just another wedding’. The food was phenomenal, the rooms are stunning and the gardens are immaculately kept. We genuinely cannot recommend Saltmarshe Hall enough to anyone looking for their dream venue!
