Very nice small hotel in a very central, calm and beautiful area surrounded by beautiful houses and trees. Well decorated, staff is friendly and flexible.

This is a self service hotel with just 1 staff at od hours. Not possible to get any service during most of the day. No coffe, cocktails etc. We wanted to have drinks, coffe , rent bycicles. but there is very limited service here.

Deserted when we arrived. Locked no staff. contact only by phone. Utter shambles for which we paid top dollar. Avoid at all costs. Out of season La Baule is a dreary place with only one street with any sign of life; beach good, but it is basically a deserted second home town.

Felt like we were inconveniencing the owners… Their attitude was that they were doing us a massive favour, despite us paying €1850 for four nights. Aside from that a lovely place with a beautiful room and balcony, a good buffet breakfast and good dinner - but due to the attitude of the owners we would not return. Also - if in the family suite, watch your toes on the sink unit - the wood at the bottom sticks out so everyone had a bruised toe… It’s a five minute walk to the beach (but no sea view) and the beach is truly magnificent - large and sandy with some great beach restaurants serving mussels and frites. We liked Maman et son fils. You can hire a shaded cabana for 18 euros a day - you have to walk down the beach past the end of the Main Street to their little office with two deckchairs outside to book and it is possible to do so on the same day. Beware when doing the long walk to Pornichet that it is nowhere near as nice and restaurants at lunchtime are likely to be booked up. A lovely day trip is to Le Croisic about twenty minutes drive away. Beautiful harbour village with some great cafes for a galette.

From good experience in July 2021, we booked again a familyroom in La Palmeraie. The Hotel and the rooms are still nice, clean and the location is ideal. However: from entrance we noticed that many details (decoration, tableclothing, staff) have been altered as the hotel is now under new ownership. It is all clean and well looked after, but that extra touch is now not present anymore. Staff speaks no or poor English, Breakfast is -to say the least- below par, small things like a spare toiletpaper-roll or a bottle of water are left out of the service and the restaurant (which used to be stunning) is lacking a**osphere. A good change is that the (nice) rooftop bar drinks are now not anymore at 'St Tropez' prices, which seems to boost presence of the hotel guest at the end of the day. An excellent spot to prepare for your dinner. Although we most certainly will come back, we miss the 'extra' attention, kindness and fluent English of the former female owner and staff. Maybe it will need some time to grow ! all the elements to stay a hidden treasure within La Baule are still present..

Beautiful hotel, wonderful bedroom which had a really stunning bathroom. Great roof bar with lovely cocktails and pretty restaurant . Very attentive staff! Excellent location. Could park right outside. Breakfast was lovely.

We arrived close to midnight. The man checking us in was welcoming, helpful, wonderful in every way! The hotel was laid back and elegant! This is one of the best places we have ever stayed! Only a few rooms. Ours was very comfortable and clean. The people made the experience superb! Everyone was helpful, friendly, made sure every need was met. The chef prepared fabulous meals! We booked two nights then went back for a third and can’t wait to return another time!

Highly recommended stylish boutique hotel with professional and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, good location (although no sea view), nice rooftop bar area and only 3 minutes walk from the seafront. I would return!
