The spacious bathtub, in particular, stood out as the perfect place to unwind after wandering Kyoto’s centuries-old streets. Although I didn’t have a chance to sample the hotel’s dining options, every other aspect of my stay was faultless. The exquisite decor, the serene environment, and the staff’s unparalleled service exceeded all my expectations. If you’re seeking a sophisticated, relaxing retreat that still allows you to easily explore Kyoto’s rich cultural heritage, Saka Hotel Kyoto is an excellent choice.

We stayed for a good 3 nights at Terrace Kiyomizu Kyoto. The location was perfect for visiting Kiyomizu-dera and Sannenzaka within walking distance. The hotel has a paid parking lot for us to park our car, so we do not worry about finding it. The hotel has a rooftop view of Kiyomizu-dera and Nidec Kyoto Tower. The staff was very friendly, and we had a free gift on the checked out date.

10 out of 10! Very cool hotel. Great location - close to the metro and there is somewhere to walk in the evening. The hotel is modern and fresh, the breakfasts are great! Shampoo/conditioner are of excellent quality. Honestly, nothing to complain about. Thanks to the hotel.

The location was conveniently located about a 10mins walk away from the train station. The hotel staff was friendly. For the price the room is clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend it to solo travellers. There is a convenience store located nearby and plenty of food places too.

Comfortable stay with an impressive terrace on roof top where you can chill out with the view of Kyoto while soaking your feet, so comfy! Bar time in the evening at the terrace. Small hot bath area yet peaceful ambience. Small room but well equipped. They suggest to store the luggage under the bed but personally found that it isn't practical for big luggage. Otherwise the mattress is comfortable and the provided amenities are all fine for the stay. Good location even department stores, shops, restaurants, public transportation, attractions, Gion and etc are in walking distance but still silent enough and I had a good stay here. Also taxi stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance. Luggage can be store after check out but please check with the time for picking up with the staff.

Nice location near river walk and station. Room was small though nice. Shower was nice though the hot worker did not work completely. The self service check in didn’t work and it would have been more efficient if the staff checked me in.

Nicely located hotel with great amenities and a historical touch/feel. Love how it immerses itself in a busy district but still has all the privacy. The hospitality of the front desk could be improved but overall excellent.

We stayed here 4 nights and loved it even though the rooms were small. There was unlimited water - cold and hot as well as coffee. Location wise, we were able to travel everywhere we wanted to go by bus and trains or walking. The public bath was small but excellent. The staff was very good - accomodated rrquests for help or cleaning routine or to open safe etc.. I managed to arrange for luggage transfer to my place of stay easily. Appreciated we were able to use the washing machine and dryer for clothes

his hotel is located at a perfect location in Kyoto, with the Kyoto Station being 2-5 minutes away depending on walking speed. There are many eateries and restaurants around the area, and the availability of various malls such as Aeon enhanced the experience we had staying in Miyako Hotel. Self check-in kiosks were used, and payment for foreign tax can be done seamlessly there. They have 2 different buildings in which the rooms are situated, which was unfortunate for my family as we were assigned rooms in each of the different buildings. However, the rooms were big and comfortable, and I was happy with the stay. While mineral water was not given for each day, they had a water dispenser in each level of the rooms, which made it convenient to obtain water. Vending machines are also available for those who prefer to get their own bottle of drink/mineral water. The staff were very friendly with any questions or requests and were fast with assistance for baggage storage. The only downside could be the lack of coin washing machines in the hotel itself, and the next nearest available public coin washing machine was located about 5-7 minutes away from the hotel itself. It is not easy to find and can be quite a hassle to actually do any sort of laundry unless you are willing to pay for the in-house laundry service. Overall, it is definitely recommended to choose Miyako.
