Hotel di Kawaramachi, Kyoto

All my expectations were exceeded. It's difficult to express in words how amazing our stay was. The staff are the best - genuinely friendly and went out of their ways to help us with a luggage issue. The rooms are well appointed, cosy and elegant and the location is perfect. We were so in love with the hotel that we cut short our Tokyo trip to come back here! Couldn't recommend this more!

Comfortable stay with an impressive terrace on roof top where you can chill out with the view of Kyoto while soaking your feet, so comfy! Bar time in the evening at the terrace. Small hot bath area yet peaceful ambience. Small room but well equipped. They suggest to store the luggage under the bed but personally found that it isn't practical for big luggage. Otherwise the mattress is comfortable and the provided amenities are all fine for the stay. Good location even department stores, shops, restaurants, public transportation, attractions, Gion and etc are in walking distance but still silent enough and I had a good stay here. Also taxi stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance. Luggage can be store after check out but please check with the time for picking up with the staff.

The hotel is close to Karasuma-oike station. However, if you have a luggage, it is easier to exit by elevator from Exit 5 and cross the road to the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Space is decent for a family of 3. We also liked that they have a common place at the lobby where we can eat or snack. They also offer coffee, water and other amenities (toothbrush, cotton buds, face wash etc) too.

Generally speaking, it is quite cost-effective for stay Kyoto Banjing to be a hotel in winter.Surrounded by some restaurants in online celebrity and shopping spots in online celebrity, the traffic is also very convenient, and it is a beautiful place to go out.But theirCleaning is not every day, just doing the most basic cleaning. Of course, this was made clear before, so it is acceptable on the whole.

The room we stayed in is very tidy and clean. Reception staff were very friendly and professional. The location of this hotel is close to the market (~8 min walking distance). Highly recommended for those who stay in Kyoto for short period of time.

Let me talk about the size of the room first. Compared with the average Japanese business traveler, this room can be described as super comfortable. There is no sense of oppression. The room facilities are all well equipped, and there should be some, because we go in winter, and there is also a big terrace. Warm stickers are provided, but we just happened to have prepared ourselves so we didn’t take the position. It was in the middle of the Shijo and Wujo stations. If you are pulling luggage, you should pay attention to which exit has an elevator, or you will have to go up the stairs yourself.

Pros: - excellent service, staff can speak English well. Cleaning of the room was good. - facilities are modern and clean - amenities provided are good quality. Specifically, the razor and toothbrush - restaurant attached to the hotel is very good Cons: - mainly the location, its in the middle of everything but that means its either a 20min walk to gion/kyoto station, or you pay for two stops in the train/bus then walk the rest of the way everytime you head out. If you like walking, then this is no problem.

Hotel location is good but direction instruction to hotel isn't clear. We walked & dragged our baggage thru stairway from train station. 1. Location convenient. To popular tourist IG places need to walk 20mins 2. Food available nearby & mall. 3. Room enough tk sleep with small space to leave your baggage standing. 4. Very basic room. Comfy to sleep, not too noisy. Thank you.

The toilet and bathroom are spacious, the bathroom facilities are good, and the bath is very comfortable. The hotel does not provide plastic products such as toothbrushes, which need to be purchased. The outside is under renovation, so it will be noisy during the day. The air conditioner is not very warm. It is a short walk to Shijo Kawaramachi, which is very convenient for shopping.
