Very small rooms and bathroom. Beautiful location and very nice staff.

The location is good, but the whole facility is out of date. We booked Tatami room with over 2400hkd(without breakfast and dinner), and the hotel doesn't provide drinking water, you need to buy them from vending machine..... The onsen is old and small, inside but strangely you can see dead insects floating in the water......meanwhile you can pay very little money for nice public Onsen close to the Bridge. Checking in hour is 3pm but checking out is 10am, we regretted we wasted one night here, and won't recommend anyone to come.

We booking 4futons bedroom but they allow to use it only2!! If need more futon bed we have to pay!! It’s nonsense. In room is not clean have a lot of dust and that room can smell smoking very terrible.. but staff at restaurant so nice very good service. And we thought all same will not come here again.. reception cannot speak English so very hard to communicate

The room area is much larger than the common tatami-style, and it is also relatively large in Japan where every inch of land is valuable. The hotel facilities are relatively old, and washing your hair may cause the toilet to drain slowly, but the advantage is that the sanitation is very clean. The staff is very enthusiastic and considerate. When checking in, they will introduce the layout of the hotel while helping to send the luggage to the room, and the items left in the room will be properly preserved. The breakfast and dinner are great, with the feeling of Japanese family cooking. The service staff always pays attention to our progress and needs of eating. If you stay, it is recommended to experience breakfast and dinner.

The hotel is 20 minutes away from JR Saga Arashiyama, 16 minutes away from Hankyu Station, and 8 minutes away from Tenryuji Station by bus. The hotel is located in the core area of ​​Arashiyama attractions, opposite Hogan-in Temple, and a few steps to the river where you can take a boat. However, after this stay, I will never stay in this hotel again. As soon as I walked into the room, there was a sweaty smell. I found that the bed cover was smelly. I opened it and saw hair and stains inside. This hotel does not use quilt covers, but covers it with sheets. The bed cover is used as a quilt. It is not washed for a long time. This method is not good at separating dirt, so it is dirtier than using quilt covers. I only sleep with the blanket in the closet. There is only one pillow, the pillowcase is thin and transparent, and the pillow core is as hard as a stone. I sleep with my own clothes stacked up. The mattress is very thin and hard, so I didn't sleep well all night. The hotel implements the worst mode, check in at 3 pm and check out at 10 am, and there is no bottled water. The food for breakfast and dinner is very average. Actually, this is not the first time I stayed at this hotel. I felt that it was not the first time I stayed at this hotel. I felt that this hotel had reached the point where I could not tolerate it after staying at too many one-night, two-meal hot spring hotels at this price. The Asukaso and Wako hotels I stayed at recently in Nara were much cheaper and the meals were much better than this one. There were also Shioji-tei and Shirahama Kaishu, which even had lounges. Compared with the cuisines of these two hotels, the meals of this hotel were like relief meals, really. It's a pity that such a good location is run like this. I didn't take pictures of the meals of this hotel, but I will show you the level of meals of other people at the same price. The last four pictures are the meals of Asukaso and Wako hotels in Nara that I stayed at a few days ago. The meals of this hotel were too bad and not worth taking pictures.

I booked a night on a Sunday night to catch the peak of the autumn leaves. It's in the best location in Arashiyama. Check-in and meals were quick and the service was very good. Both dinner and breakfast were just the right amount. I also used the large public bath, and enjoyed relaxing in the tub to warm myself up. I'd like to come back again.

The location of Arashiyama is good and convenient for traveling. The room is large and there is a bath. The dinner is delicious.

I moved in again after 5 years, and everything familiar was still there, except for the three years of the pandemic. Breakfast, dinner and the large bath are all very good. Although it is relatively old, it is clean and tidy and very quiet. Opposite is Hogan-in Temple, which is great for viewing the red leaves. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Yuzaiting, and there are beautiful views along the way. It is also very close to % Coffee and Togetsukyo Bridge. Both dinner and breakfast are authentic Japanese, with tofu hotpot. The water quality in the large bath is good, and it is very comfortable to take a bath in bubbles. I will still choose this one next time I come to Arashiyama.
