Rooms are good with Mountain View but beware they are Non AC rooms. Heaters are limited supply and carry extra charge. Food is bad. We had only Gobi in different forms everyday for dinner and that too not well made. Staff is not polite and service is bad.

Don't go by star ratings and all! Gem property in ***ali! Needs some maintenance but is undoubtedly very well-built and the rooms are well-appointed! Clean and hygienic! Mind-boggling views due to its beautiful location! And, Warm Hospitality - very rarely seen nowadays at star-rated hotels in India, is prevalent here - a big 👏 for the hoteliers there!!

The hotel has amazing location from the chaos of the ***ali city. Peaceful area surrounded by apply trees with some breathtaking views. Food was nice and hospitality is also warm by the employees of the hotel. Highly recommended for staying in ***ali.

On our this trip to ***ali, we stayed at Katoch for the our second half of our family trip. We found Katoch during our research work of good resorts in ***ali and it is indeed good. Location will keep you spell bound as on the front side of you mountain peaks covered with snow and on the the back, river beas is flowing (you can literally hear flowing water anytime of the day). Property is 6 km away from main ***ali town and is near to Nehru kund. Property is very peaceful and away from hustle bustle of the town. basic things like medicine, food, drinks, groceries you can find at a walking distance. Property is Neat and clean, staff is very courteous. its a 2 floor property so you really dont need a lift here (they have one but wasn't working when we checked in). breakfast and dinner buffet has very limited options. taste can be improved. rooms are comparatively small and dont have balconies. wifi is really unstable and doesnt work most of the time but fortunately Mobile data works well here. Electricity is an issue and we observed a lot of power cuts during our stay. they only provide 2 half lt water bottles complimentary, I think it should be atleast 2 lts. Overall, I liked this place just because of its location otherwise you have to shell out a lot for trvalling if you dont have your own vehicle since its far from ***ali town. If resort mgmt. can take a look at the suggestion and implement them, I am sure if will hugely improve guest experience.

My experience at this place was awesome and I will love to visit again and again. It was pleasant staying here. I meet with Akshay and he was a kind and professional personality and because of him I will always love to come back.

From reception to room it's beautiful property and spacious room, the restaurant food was good and we really enjoyed the snooker game near to the lobby the staff was very cooperative and we'll ***nered and I also thanks to Mr.Sumit from front desk. Thank you all will come again

We had a family stay for 5 days in Katoch Grand in February 2022 and the overall experience was excellent in terms of comfort, amenities, food and view from the rooms. Special thanks to Pankaj, Yagya Thakur, Sumit and Vikas Rana for their cooperation and making the stay a memorable one.

I recently (July’22) stayed in Katoch hotel in ***ali. I was Titian disappointed I wonder how they got the 3 Star hotel tag for : Worst customer service, attitude of staff towards customer, worst house keeping, poorly maintained property.

We have been staying at The Grand Katoch since 2019. With the change in ***agement, we noticed change in staff attitude, food served and cleanliness go south. The hotel is located at one of the best locations. You can see the Rohtang- *** highway and the snow peaked Rohtang pass from right side rooms, and the lush apple orchards from the left side rooms. Unfortunately, the staff only does their job, nothing for customer service or customer experience. House keeping staff may respond or just might not. The dinner buffet (choice of food items) set up is ordinary. The taste is very basic. Some basic dishes (Aloo Gobhi was so oily, couldn't make out what dominates the dish, the vegetable or the oil, the yellow dal was bitter with the tadka) really need improvement. The room is neat & clean, washrooms not so clean, water leakage is there and the placement of WC and bathing area, inside the bathroom is weird, the water flows all around the washroom. It is good for a night stay or so, if the ***agement doesn't look into these basic issues.
