Arrived at Hotel Eurovillage Achilleas in the evening. Very short distance from the airport, approx. 15 minutes by taxi. The hotel itself is completely remote, with a good distance to the nearest town centre/village. The nearest village is Mastihari, two km further north. You have to expect about half an hour to walk here, but by bike it takes approx. 10 minutes. In my case, I rented a scooter, and then it took only five minutes to Mastihari. The rental company Motorent was located outside the hotel gate, which rented out motorized vehicles and bicycles for a cheap prize. I rented a scooter for five days, which cost about €70 in total. A full gaz tank of the scooter cost around €5 and lasted for a couple of days of driving, so quite cheap to operate. There were plenty of petrol stations too. Next to Motorent there was also a small mini market, where you could buy drinks, souvenirs, snacks, towels, equipment for the beach, perfume, clothes, toiletries and more. In Mastihari there were many nice restaurants, bars, hairdresser, pharmacy and shops, and here was also the nearest ATM. Definitely a nice place to visit. I ate dinner here on the evenings I didn't eat at the hotel. I did not have all inclusive at the hotel. If you still wanted to take part in the dinner buffet at the hotel, it cost €15, which included all drinks. The buffet was good, and consisted of everything from good Greek salads to fish, meat, pasta etc. A separate chef grilled various meats. The dinner buffet was open between 19-22. The hotel otherwise had large outdoor areas with a huge swimming pool in the center of the area. There was also a small children's pool next to it. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool, and there was a pool bar that also served a simple lunchtime snack, usually a very tasty gyro. There was evening entertainment every night, which the audience appreciated. There was also an indoor bar with a large area of leather lounges and tables. The hotel also had a games room, where you could play table tennis, billiards and other games. The hotel consisted of quite a few independent houses, with a number of hotel rooms in each house. Between all the buildings there were cozy little roads, flowers and plants, and a lush park/garden, which went all the way down to the beach area. All the property of the hotel. Very large and nice area, and quiet and peaceful. The beach itself was perfectly fine, but with the north wind straight in there were quite a few particles and sea**** etc. in the water. There were also quite a few waves. If you want a beach with calm water and clear visibility, you should travel to the southern end of Kos, on the other side of the airport. I drove here by scooter, it was a trip of around 30 minutes. You drive past the airport and continue south. Follow the signs for Kefalos. There you passed all the beaches. I tried Paradise Beach, Lagada Beach and Agios Stefanos Beach. There are many other beaches there as well that I didn't get to
