The Aeolos Beach Hotel

My wife and my 23 year old daughter has just spent 6 days here. It’s been a mixed bag for sure. I did initially write a less complementary review on here on day 2 and this was picked up by the management and I attended a meeting with 4 of them in the Managers office. They all showed concern and appeared to try and address my concerns to be fair. Firstly, this hotel has potential to be very good. We all agreed it is more of a 3* than a 4* feel overall. It’s small or silly things that make you think this. GOOD POINTS Our superior bungalow was one of the recent updated ones and was great inside. That was a 4* feel. Shame the maid wasn’t the best and would leave things not done ie cups left in bathroom or no replacement of coffee/tea items. I’d told the management there were 3 of us so why have we got just 2 cups? That was never dealt with. Overall our accommodation was great. The Beach Restaurant was a ten times better experience to eat as the main dining room is very dated and average. The sea view is outstanding at the beach restaurant. Food was generally ok but limited choice and on the repetitive side. Salads were great. Desserts no labels so had to guess what they were. We got upgraded to the premium pool which is beautiful and quiet, well kept clean pool. This normally only comes with Premium Bungalows. Definitely a 4* experience. POOR The gardens lacked a proper gardening team and sprinkler system for the vast lawns. Big potential to have beautiful gardens here with some TLC. Grass was not kept cut and looked untidy with weeds and baron looking in place. This would definitely give the place a huge lift aesthetically. Drinks I’d say average for AI but not to have bottles of water from bar was a bit mean in a hot climate. Better communication channels between the whole of the staff would be advisable too. The location is out on its own hence why it needs the upgrades to give a lovely 4* experience everywhere on the site. Bus into Kos Town is a must to get out for the evening. €2 into Kos Town, €1.50 back per person. Air conditioned buses very good. Advise you keep sat nav on to see where your stop is on the way back as it’s pitch black. Generally it’s been a pleasant holiday but definitely not one I’d return too because so many other hotel do it better.

We came on a family holiday for 10 nights and we had such a wonderful time - there were 4 adults and a 3 year old. The hotel and its surroundings were beautiful - we stayed in a superior bungalow and it was so clean and spacious. The staff at the hotel were incredible and so so friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They all made such a fuss of my little boy and he loved them. The staff made us feel so welcome and safe. The hotel organised a car hire for us and were super efficient in doing so. The food and drinks were all lovely and the restaurant was never too busy. There wasn’t much entertainment for children on an evening however saying that, when you go on holiday as a family you make it your own and create your own fun and that’s what we did. Some evenings we had walks down to the beach, sat at the pool bar, sat on the upstairs balcony overlooking the pool bar and the beautiful scenery or we simply sat on our veranda. We just couldn’t fault the hotel at all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I should think if we return to Kos, this hotel would be our first port of call - we didn’t want to come home and we all said we wish we could have stayed longer. It was our 2nd time at Aeolos Beach Hotel, as it was as an amazing stay as in 1st time. Hotel is in really beautiful location, with amazing sunsets and located right on the beach. Its very quite and remote location so can have very relaxed holidays. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, rooms getting cleaned regularly. Restaurants have big variety of food available and will always be able to find something, even fussiest eaters. Definitely coming back for more.

Jet2 staff on the flights and at the airports really helpful. Aeolus hotel is spotlessly clean, comfortable, great variety of good food with plenty of choices, unbelievably helpful staff. The pool is fabulous with plenty of sun loungers. Our only complaint - Jet2 writes the hotel is 'Positioned on a long sandy beach' it is NOT. The adjacent beach is rocky and narrow, the nearest sandy beach is 5km away, too far to walk so took a EUR16 each way taxi ride

We stayed a week at Aeolos Beach Hotel and we loved it!! The hotel is beautiful reminding with the bungalows and all the flowers a typical greek village. The bungalows are spacious and very comfortable. The garden and flowers are simply beautiful and the restaurant front beach has a breathtaking seaview. Staff is super friendly, we wanna thank Maria for taking care of us so well, we felt really appreciated by her every time we had dinner at the restaurant, she was excellent!!

I went on holiday with 5 friends and we stayed in the bungalows,they were very clean and modern and plenty of room. The gardens all around were well kept and some lovely flowers. Lovely big pool and clean. The buffet is not very big but you can always find something to eat. The staff are so friendly especially behind the pool bar,the lifeguard always said morning and the manager always smiling and always spoke. Would return.

Had a lovely stay at Aeolos Beach Hotel in June 2024. We stayed in a premium room, meaning we had reserved sun beds and were able to eat in the beachfront restaurant with spectacular views. This was a great experience and would highly recommend upgrading to this option.

Travelled as a family of 4 to this hotel over the May-June half term. Firstly, ignore the really terrible reviews. It really is not that bad. The bungalows aren’t as spacious as the pictures portray but the sea view was the best we have ever had in any hotel, ever. Simply beautiful. It felt like our own private garden with a sea. The food was ok, Greek night was our favourite but only on once a week and we were there for 10 days. Not a huge variety for children but there was always plain pasta and chips if they are super fussy. The pools were lovely and the kids pool was great. My only complaint with the pools is that they should have been cleaned more regularly than I witnessed. I only saw them clean it once in 10 days. The bedroom was always cleaned and tidied to a high standard. The beach restaurant does seem to get very booked up so I would recommend booking as soon as you arrive to avoid being told there is no room. Entertainment was quiet and not anything for children but there is a play park and all children seemed to make friends which helped. Overall, for the price we paid, I am very satisfied. I think I would return but not with children. We hired a car and I can confidently say, the access to the beach at this hotel was far far superior to some I saw when we were out and about.

What a beautiful and relaxing hotel! Went from June 3rd-9th with a friend with the intention to rest and relax, and that is exactly what we done! ROOM We stayed on the 3rd floor in the main hotel with a sea view room and WOW. Super spacious, comfy beds and pillows... and the bathroom? Never had such a spacious bathroom with such a powerful shower! The rooms were cleaned immaculately on a daily basis, providing fresh towels and a new bottle of water. Whilst the fridge wasn't the coldest it still managed to cool down the water POOL/SUNBED We would wake up around 8/head down just after 8 to grab a sunbed and never had an issue with it Whilst the pool is on the colder side, it's much needed with how warm you can get! The bottom of the floor could do with a bit of a spruce up, but there was never anything floating in the pool DRINKS/FOOD Be warned... the cocktails can be STRONG (but very delicious. I would highly recommend the Strawberry Splash). In terms of the food, there isn't a great variety, but still very tasty Breakfast - typical full english options, omelette, fruit, cereal, cheeses and bread Lunch - you could either go into the main restaurant for pasta, pizza, fish etc, or go to the pool/snack bar where you could get salad, chips, and a meat Dinner - varied every night (our personal favourite was Greek Night with the spinach and cheese pastry). Only a few hot options, but plenty of salad/fresh food options There is also a shop on site with very reasonable priced food! Just under 3 euros for a large packet of crisps (I'd recommend trying the tzatziki lays if you're looking for a new and funky flavour) ENTERTAINMENT/WHAT'S AROUND TO DO The hotel is very much in the middle of nowhere. But for 1.60 you can go into old town on a 15 minute (air-conditioned) bus journey. There's a timetable in reception where you can see what time busses you can get, but it is super easy to navigate your way on them! The bus driver calls out the names of hotels on your way back too meaning you don't need to worry about missing your stop There isn't particularly any entertainment during the day except Bingo on a Tuesday. In the evenings there would sometimes be live music, dancing, and our personal favourite, karaoke on a Saturday night If you're looking for a break away to rest and relax, this is your hotel!
