Telatiye Resort Hotel

I visited here with my son as a mother son getaway I’ve the half term period. We visited at the end of the season so the hotel was quiet, lots of space, no bustling about waiting for tables, drinks or sunbeds. The staff were mostly incredibly friendly offered help and suggestions for places to go or excursions to do. Even so much as to ask the reception to make our beds more comfortable by adding more mattress toppers. Picking the oranges from the trees and peeling them for my son etc. I’d say the reception lady and bell man were the only moody people there, but still they did their job well. Entertainment was ok on the first night, it was a dance light show. The other nights were pretty dull and the last few nights there was nothing at all, understandably as the hotel was closing to visitors the day we left. The entertainment did start on the late side, 8:30pm a kids disco (consisting of songs and dances like baby shark and Hokey Cokey - same every night), 9.15/9.30pm main show. The room was kept very clean with fresh towels, mopping and wiping down surfaces regularly. The bed sheet was rough and towel like, but you can ask for another soft cotton one. The hotel and surrounds were also kept very clean, with washing and sweeping out the outdoor patio every night. Shower was lovely, plenty of pressure and hot. TV, only English speaking channels is BBC News, take an iPad! Wi-Fi in the bedroom is €10 for the week and is good, but free Wi-Fi available in reception only. Safety deposit box is also €10 during your stay and pool towels are a €5/towel deposit (feel free to message for a handy tip). The food is ok, my son and I are not fussy eaters so not bothered by what was on offer. If you like typical British or American food, this isn’t for you. Also I didn’t realise till half way through our stay that the grill is outside at the back of the restaurant. There’s a lady by the pool that does amazing Gozleme, fresh everyday. And the patisserie is open 11-5, these are mostly biscuits and pastries. We only ate at the beach once, burgers, chips and pasta available here. The outside juice machines are warm so wouldn’t recommend, but water is cool. The coffee machines are good, and I will only drink fresh ground beans, so that has to say something right?! I didn’t drink much alcohol, I had 2 sips of white wine and it was really bitter, but to be honest, I couldn’t find a good wine in the shops anyway. The beer I had a half of and that was ok, typical European beer in my opinion. There wasn’t any brandy, cognac or spiced rum. Real Coca Cola, sprite and Fanta. The spa is nice and treatments are good too. We had a coffee scrub, foam bath (I can only describe this a feeling like you’re being kissed by a cloud), in the haman, 60 minute full body massage and a face mask. They gave my sons treatment free, minus the massage. Use of the facilities is free though. Pool towels are also collected and changed here. Towel change days are Monday, Wednesday

Me with my wife, decided to travel to Turkey, and spend our honey moon at this hotel. From a 5 star Hotel, money spent, reviews and photos, we expected a decent hotel, decent food quality, drinks and service. They checked in us quickly, although we were late because of Ryanair+the transfer. Room was nice and clean, with air conditioner (it worked in our room, not very well but it did), TV does work, although we did not watch it. We had our room cleaned every day, towels changed, etc. Pool has a decent a size, clean, no chlorine smell. Hotel is nice, marble, lounge, terrace and all this stuff. Sea smells nice, feels good. Beach side close to the hotel. Beds in the room are hard, not comfortable to sleep. Desserts were nice, coffee was good, recommend to try cola with lemon, good for digestion. Sometimes you would find something tasty to eat during the lunch, but most of the time, food was better in the evening. Breakfast is boring. Evening there is animation. Now about what is wrong with this Hotel: No free snooker or anything else, just darts for free, in the day time, but the rest of the games, you have to pay for it. Even for the table tennis. On our first meal, We had pastry with spoiled cheese, it tasted bitter and smelled awful, not good!!! We had to complain after we spent our second day there, because we had not seen any fresh meat on mangal (grill) or fish. After we complained, and told them that they will have a very bad review, we saw some good changes. A lot of food tasted either too salty or too spicy. Not for our taste. Not a lot of fresh grill meat or fish. What has not been eaten on the day when has been prepared, would be used on next day for some other dishes. Pastry aren’t fresh always. No choice of local cocktails or drinks, as you can not call a choice of drinks made from: fizzy drinks, gin tonic, vodka, whiskey and two types of “cocktails” mixed continuously in a slush machine which tastes like nothing. Wines are nothing as well, better don’t taste it, if you don’t want to get disappointed. There are no proper cocktails, don’t expect it. The beer they serve you, has no taste whatsoever. Bar at the beach side, its not a bar, its a….place where you can get something to swallow when you’re hungry. Beach doesn’t look clean. Also when you relax at the beach, don’t be scared by those two stray fat dogs sleeping and eating there, because they live there. Not nice, smelly. Breakfast food is the same every day, boring , no Turkish breakfast, also you don’t have any desserts to enjoy with the coffee (we had to take some to our room’s fridge, for our morning coffee). No snacks at pool bar. You can have your wifi for free, we had to pay €15, but we realised that the free one works perfectly fine in our room, ( third floor ), not only in the lounge and restaurant,, and on the beach side it does as well. We had not late check out, the flight was around 23:00, we had to stay from 12:00 pm until 17:40 in the lounge…. Not a 5 star

Nice holiday, great staff, we loved it there, we would love to go there again. Animation programs, evening programs for children, plenty of food and drink. A pleasant waitress looked after us. The sea is clean.

Wow! After reading some of the reviews before coming I wasnt expecting much but this holiday was amazing, from start to finish ! the rooms are spotlessly clean fresh towels every day and the little touches the cleaners do with the sheets on the beds are really cute! staff are so friendly and helpful, i was stuggling with the food the one day as im so fussy but the guy on the photo shoot desk fetched me a dominos as we didnt no where we was going! now for the animation team! they are just amazing singing and dancing making sure there guests are fully happy, yalchin you are superb!! we really didnt want to come home! thank you for the best holiday we will be seeing you next year! Thank u so much for a wonderful time I spent with my family. Food was delicious, even for me as a vegetarian I could find many varieties. Room was always cleaned, towels were changed. Reception stuff very helpful, always ready to answer on our questions with smile especially Yasmine and Allatin. Very big thanks to you guys. Special thank u to all entertainment team. You are wonderful, very friendly, very funny , your shows for children made them happy. U made our holiday very unique. Definitely we will come back to you.

Amazing place, location as well entertaining team is most hardworking they continue do efforts to make guest happy Manager also yalchine and Ayisha and their assistance the young guy they all are lovely, small issues happened between us and other guest but it was sort out, to be honest junior staff need more training how to deal with guest especially resturent waiters, yasmine from receptionist was very helpful and nice lady, overall we were happy to stayed and will recommend to others

Excellent hotel can’t do enough for you all the staff are very friendly and welcoming the entertainment staff are also very excellent and can’t do enough for you the room is excellent everything you need the maids do excellent job and lovely bed decorations the pool and slides are beautiful the slides open between the 10 and 12 then again at 2 and 4 which I think is perfect this is my second year and will be returning next year

This is definitely not a 5 * star. 3* at the very most. I start with negatives with areas for improvement. We arrived at reception and given one key. When I asked for a second one as two of us staying in the room I was told to COME BACK tomorrow morning and I would be given another key. You have to pay EXTRA for the safe. When I inquired how to pay and get access to the safe I was told to COME BACK in the morning. I retuned in the morning to get second key and pay for safe. You also have to pay EXTRA for an iron. I asked for an iron I was told to go to my floor and ask house keeping but no one was there . I returned to reception and you guessed it I was told to COME BACK Later at 9am. When I returned at 9am again I was told to COME BACK at 11 am. Great way to start your holiday great customer service NOT. So I found my own solution to the iron situation - Lots of steam from the bathroom. WIFI in your room is EXTRA. When I sat at a restaurant table one of the waiters came up to my table and said this table is reserved there is a phone on it. I didn’t even see the phone as it was dark. I did not know that phones were used as a way of reserving a table. Very rude and aggressive tone used by restaurant member of staff. It can be cold at night and only a thin sheet provided so had to get another one. The barman at the poolside was rude and mocked the way we spoke. Their alcoholic drink is weak. You need quarter of the bottle to taste any form of alcohol otherwise it taste like you’re just drinking Coke or lemonade. Minibar in room is only stocked with water other hotels give you fruit juices and fizzy drinks as well. Positives The hotel is very clean and decently presented. The decor is outdated and needs updating I had damp patch over my walls and there was cracks on the floor. Food was decent but was very cold most days. There was plenty of variety and options and something different was offered each night there was also a great area outside where you could get freshly cooked food which was hot to my surprise this was not extra. The sauna and Turkish and gym and Jacuzzi were included. A lot of hotels charge extra for this. Room was nicely cleaned every day and beds made along with fresh towels. The maid does a wonderful job she works very hard. The coffee and hot chocolate even though from the drinks machine was great very strong just the way I like it. I enjoyed several cups of cappuccino and hot chocolate. Real Coke and Fanta is also served. In my opinion This hotel is not for you if you are non-white not Russian or not German. The hotel maybe ok for some but definitely not for me so would try another hotel in Turkey. Poor customer service, unhelpful and rude staff. cold food. There was an occasion were I was fobbed off by a member of staff. Not ALL the staff were like this. There were some pleasant staff
