A Japanese-style hot spring hotel with only four rooms. The room was huge, clean and very private. There is a small stream outside the balcony, and the sound of the water is unique. If you book a private bath, you have to take a bus to Laoquan in the town. The water quality is better than that in the hotel. There is only one outdoor golden hot spring pool and two ordinary bathing pools in the museum, and men and women take turns to soak in separate shifts. Breakfast and dinner are all Japanese food, and the food is exquisite. You need to take a walk to digest after eating.

We had an amazing stay at Arimasansoh Goshobessho! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel & rooms itself are incredibly comfy and cozy, with a warm, intimate atmosphere and a delightful wood scent that adds to its charm.
The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully prepared to ensure a relaxing experience. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations (very good French toast, and onion soup) such a great way to start the day!
A special thank-you to the hotel staff for their kindness and efficiency in returning the Apple Watch we accidentally left behind—it was much appreciated!
Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

The shuttle bus is only a one-way inconvenience. It is very convenient to go to the cable car station. There is no milk in the vending machine, but there is beer. Environment: It looks like a castle from the outside. The Japanese-style room with private bath is very spacious. It is close to Jintang and Business Street. One night and two meals, breakfast and dinner are served in the room. The service is very good. When you check in, someone will lead you into the room to introduce the hotel facilities and services. The table will be set ten minutes in advance if the dining time is confirmed. It is a birthday gift and a placemat with the word ”longevity” is used to set the table. It is a sister hotel next door and you can take a bath in the outdoor hot spring pool through the corridor. There are many kinds of food. Most of the cold appetizers are seafood 🦞. Wagyu 🥩 is a little greasy. The overall feeling is very ceremonial. I bought local sake to celebrate and got an ice bucket. You can take a hot spring bath indoors at any time ♨️, which is very satisfying. The reservation is relatively temporary, so it is recommended to plan in advance.

First experience in an onsen and ryokan in general. An excellent hotel, although it has seen better days. Good quality and varied food, mostly classic Japanese cuisine, but for lovers of European cuisine and for children there will be something to treat themselves to at the buffet.
The onsens are wonderful, equipped with everything necessary, as care and hygiene products they offer locally produced products. I recommend it as a first option because of the proximity to Kobe and Osaka, but on weekends the price is very high.
Nevertheless, thanks to the staff for their kindness and hospitality:)

Highly recommend for a onsen hotel. The add on kaiseki dinner is wonderful. Breakfast is also such an experience. Onsen can be booked for private use which is included in the package. An overall unforgettable experience. Staff can communicate in English, so no worries. Services and care is excellent.

The service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

Didn't realized it will be on top of a hill. We got delayed on our train from Kansai, hence arrived a bit late to Arima, tried to call for shuttle but was unsuccessful hence we run up the hill which we thought was just a small distance, but it was much, we've finally arrived to the hotel at 7:30pm a bit earlier than their published latest check in time of 8:00pm. We were told dinner won't be serve after 7pm, we rushed all the way for nothing. They should have also published that on the website to avoid people like us planning a trip to Arima to experience aside from the onsen but also for the traditional Japanese meals. Anyway, after negotiation they did served us the dinner and it was tasty and sumptuous.
Aside from the small issue about the dinner, this place is clean & quiet, staffs were very nice and attentive, the onsen are relaxing and we got a very good night sleep.
Will still recommend this hotel, but remember to tell them about your arrival time and book the shuttle bus.

The public bath has two cleaning times, 00-01, 0930-1100. I missed the morning bath and now I regret it.
This 800-year-old restaurant has no flaws. I ordered a cake here, which was very delicious. To be frank, it was much better than the cream of the cream cake I bought at L’avenue.
The golden bath was very comfortable. After the bath, I went to the room to lie on the massage chair. I felt that staying for a day was not enough.
As for transportation, it is only a dozen meters away from the bus station and the Internet celebrity check-in point, which is very convenient. It should also be very convenient to return home during the day.
I think both dinner and breakfast are delicious, especially the tofu for breakfast.
The service is also very good. The suitcases are placed at the door, and the shoes are ready when we go out.
There are 5 of us. We ate in the private room. After eating, we went to the restaurant to drink coffee and sit for a while.
A slow-paced place is really great. The rhythm should be bathing, resting, bathing, eating

This hot spring hotel is strategically located, only a 6-8 minute walk from the hot spring town commercial street. The service is warm and provides free hot towels, matcha and pastries upon check-in. For dinner, we ordered the hotel’s regular kaiseki beef hotpot, which was quite ritualistic and took about 90 minutes to complete. In the evening, I experienced the hotel hot spring ♨️ (gold hot spring + silver hot spring). Although the hot spring pool is not big, the experience is good👍

TTanGreat location! It’s about 2-3 minutes walk from JR Sannomiya exit. There’s a 7-11 beside the hotel and many restaurants nearby. I was given a free upgrade to a double room! The amenities and pyjamas are available at the lobby. There’s also a coin Laundromat and vending machine available at level 2.
Breakfast buffet was more of like Japanese style such as rice, natto, miso soup, veg and fish.

LLucky101I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free.
The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings.
Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage.
While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure.

DDavid Jansen YapFar from the center of Kobe/Sannomiya so do not expect the area to be busy. Also the hotel has started to show its age but no complaints considering the very attractive price point.

KkarekarekareBook a female dorm room for 4 people, but I was alone so have the room for myself. The bed is futon style, a thin foam and then the futon mattress itself. We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.
