Upon arriving at the hotel that we had selected based on it having air conditioning, we were told that they recently had a fire in their utility room rendering the building AC inoperative, in addition to needing to close their fitness and laundry facilities, and it would remain so for the duration of our stay and likely for many more months after. Although we were given a fan to try and help, most of our nights were sleepless in addition to experiencing discomfort during the day as we were not able to cool the room sufficiently with the fan. We had requested some compensation or additional action, but all we received was a token discount of $11on the daily resort fee versus a room fee many times that. We expressed our displeasure and were told that it would be taken up with hotel management and heard nothing further, even after subsequent requests. Resort support staff were friendly and helpful, but it quickly became apparent that management was more focused on their ownership than the satisfaction of their guests. We will not be back.
