Ulasan Grand Hotel Gulsoy Old City

We booked this hotel for our trip in Istanbul. The hotel is centrally located and near all the landmarks of the city (Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and much more). The rooms are clean and cosy, the roof top restaurant offers a good selection of food which are delicious, an indoor pool and experienced also a turkish bath. The reception manager Ilhami was very helpful, even when we asked for tickets for the match of Istanbul Besekeshir. Definately would visit this hotel on my next stay.

Worst hotel ever. Extremely unprofessional staff, very unhelpful, lazy and ill mannered. I’ve never witnessed such evil hotel management in my life. Rooms had the worst stench ever, beds were broken which gave everyone back aches. The single beds were like junior beds with horrendous mattresses. Bedding was dirty, towels were black soiled with dirt. When we asked for tissue hotel staff told us to use toilet tissue which they never replenished. Rooms were extremely small, old and dingy. Didn’t even have ample space to put suitcases. Staff were so rude and unprofessional that we had to bring the suitcases to the rooms ourselves when we checked in and when checking out we had to bring the suitcases out the hotel ourselves because staff refused to help us. Cleaners failed to service the rooms properly. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PUT TO USE IN A BETTER HOTEL. THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN!!!!!

Catfish. They showed us something else on the Internet and gave us something else from the start. As we entered the hotel. The manager started arguing with us over card machine. As they don’t accept Amex but they have the sticker on the counter. But I didn’t mind I paid with different card. There was 15 verse including six babies. We had booked out eight rooms they made us wait on the Lord. Love you for two hours. There is the manager call Omar who was so rude and he was being racist to this Chinese family as well I witnessed. He was saying Ching Chong get out from my hotel. I wanted to step in but my family is already stranded on lobby. Any how the experience was very bad by this manager name Omar. But the other guys who work are very polite and helpful. I think they need to give this guy Omar training.
