Le quartier estpropre, le personnel est sympathique, les chambres correctes bien que un peu étroites (une chambre double avec 3 lits) télé vétuste, quelques soucis d'eau chaude, le buffet du petit déjeuner est assez varié , le tarif est un peu au dessus de la moyenne pour la catégorie et le quartier.

This hotel was PERFECT for me as a solo traveler with a few extra nights in Istanbul. The wifi was reliable and fast so I could get work done from my room, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was great, and it's in a very walkable area with many food options and easy access to public transport. Really ideal except for one thing - very loud at night! I could hear other guests in the halls and in their rooms (and I'm sure they could hear me too) but mostly the noise was from the street where there were loud concerts every night. It was worth it for the great location!

We first visited this hotel in 1986 (for our honeymoon) and decided to go back this year! Of course the hotel had been modernised during that time, but the quality of service was just as good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. They made us feel very welcome. The rooms - and all the areas in the hotel - were very clean and tidy. The hotel is good value for money, being close to all the main tourist areas - or a reasonable walking distance away from some. I would recommend this hotel for those wanting a warm welcome to Istanbul, and look forward to visiting again.

The two point review I ll start with the good things : Location: it s well located at lalleli near vezenciler metro station and istanbul university tram station , near fatih so you can do the historical tourist attractions without being near them where it s crowdy Personal : the second good thing is the staff they re at your service at breakfast they re doing their job and making sure everything is good. Lets get to the bad things : The hotel is not well maintained 0 maintenance the room and the lobby everything is old veeeeery old and small veeeery small the AC not working well the TV is small , you feel like the rooms of those old motels in road of somewhere the bath is small the hot water sometimes isn't that hot sometimes it s get hot suddenly The room since it s hot and small you re forced to open the window and then you get all the noise from outside you end up closing it Overall a bad experience and the price was high compared to the experience I will never ever get back to it even for a free stay the owners must close it a d renovate it.

Horrible experience with staff- lack of communication due to language barriers tried to overcharge me for my husband staying with me in my doublebed booked room, when I asked for a bigger room they said there was none and fought me for an extra charge when I refused they kicked me out of the hotel!!! Rooms are super tight and small as well as the bathrooms. Smallest shower I’ve seen and water leaked from under the shower stand. Overall I hated the stay and the experience and never again at this hotel for sure!

Das Maya hat immer den gleichen Standard, sauber, freundlich und hilfsbereit, falls man Fragen hat. Was neu ist, der komplette Stadtteil Shezadebasi ist verkehrsberuhigt. Außer Taxi und Touristentransporten kann niemand mehr die Straßen befahren.

Hôtel vieillot, très bruyant, aucune insonorisation entre les chambres. On entendait les téléphones sonner et les conversations. Petit déjeuner peu qualitatif. Mais s'il y a un point encore plus négatif, c'est l'arnaque pour le taxi jusqu'à l'aéroport. Nous avons sollicité un taxi à l'accueil de l'hôtel. Au départ vers l'aéroport, il nous a été demandé de payer en espèces 509 tl à l'hôtel avant de monter dans le taxi, alors que la course était de 300 tl au compteur à l'arrivée à l'aéroport, sans compter que le taxi est arrivé plus de 15 min en avance. La course n'aurait donc été que de 250 tl, soit moitié moins que le prix imposé par l'hôtel. C'est de l'escroquerie ! Le seul point positif serait sa localisation, mais il y a tellement d'autres Hôtels au même endroit qu'il ne doit pas être difficile de trouver mieux. Extrêmement déçue vu le tarif
