Meininger Hotel Innsbruck Zentrum

Our experience at the MEININGER Hotel Innsbruck was simply fantastic! Our party of six found ample comfort in the tastefully furnished rooms, with the kids particularly excited about their bunk beds. We were treated to a breathtaking view of the imposing Alps right from our window - a sight that we will never forget! The room was immaculate and thoughtfully provided all the essentials we needed to make our stay comfortable and worry-free. The location is a significant advantage - just a leisurely stroll away from the heart of the town, and with a conveniently located bus stop just opposite the hotel, commuting to and from the train station was a breeze.

We arrived to find that the room we had been given hadn’t been cleaned - the staff quickly provided another room but it was unsuitable as we had wheelchair users in our group and was too small. The staff then cleaned the original room for us and provided drinks while we waited in the lobby. Not a great thing to happen but cannot fault the readiness of the staff to remedy the situation. The staff were unfailingly polite, helpful, and apologetic for the housekeeping failings. Decent location but the weather meant we didn’t get any exploring done so not much seen on this occasion. A few takeaways in the area that were good value. Some on street parking in surrounding streets though not many spaces available, Comfortable, basic, and spotlessly clean rooms. We didn’t hear anything from other rooms while we were there unlike some reviewers. A very mixed clientele - lots of backpackers as you’d expect since it’s partly a hostel, but also families and older groups. Decent breakfast. Wasn’t cheap but fair value for Innsbruck mid summer. Would stay again.

I didn't receive a bus card. The wifi didn't reach the room. Breakfast is not included and over priced. The check in isn't until 3 and you have to pay extra I you want early. The rooms were clean but overpriced.

Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Family room was very functional with bunk beds for kids and a small table area. Unfortunately building layout is very poor with partition/ hollow stud walls between rooms and communal corridors which lack adequate soundproofing. The single black lines in the accompanying floor plan show those walls that are not solid construction. Our room backed onto a corridor to main staircase accessed by a heavy fire door which caused loud thuds and double bed in our room to literally shake every time the door was closed. The beds in the rooms are attached to the walls which means they can't be moved. This gave rise to a very poor nights sleep in spite of earplugs. If we wanted to be constantly disturbed until late and from 5am, we would sooner pay to sleep in a communal dormitory for a fraction of the price. The lift mechanism/ noise was also very noticeable during our stay. Students on the front desk disinterested in our concerns offering only to try and find us a quieter room should we return (we definitely wouldn't). Breakfast very basic. There is a great food market a short walk from the hotel which offers a much wider selection and better value for money for breakfast option.

We loved our stay here! Our family of 6 slept comfortably and our kids loved the bunk beds. We had a view of the Alps from our window: absolutely gorgeous!! Room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is great - easy walk to the center of town and there's a bus stop across the street so you can get to/from the train station. A couple of good restaurants (we recommend Machete burrito!) and bakery next door too. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags for free in the morning and enjoyed hanging out in the lobby. Highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely not fond with the way they deal with this unpredictable situation. Austria had closed the border 2 days prior to my arrival date. Was told that they couldn’t do anything due to the booking was with a fix price, no alternative to be discussed, no refund/change of dates/ change of hotel location/ convert into point based etc. And was told to have book the flex price instead, despite they have to close down the hotel too as no touristic activities are to be conducted due to government sudden lockdown announcement. T&C has never mentioned anything regarding COVID issue etc. Their inflexibility is very unappreciated. First but never again.

Nulla da dire sulle camere: essenziali, ma moderne e molto pulite. Il centro storico si raggiunge con una breve passeggiata. Qualche appunto sull’organizzazione: - check-in abbastanza disorganizzato nel ricevere un gruppo di 50 persone; - lo spazio per la colazione è assolutamente inadeguato: il tavolo del buffet occupa quasi interamente una minuscola stanza in cui si accalcano i clienti, posta in un lato della sala con i tavoli per la colazione.

Hotel carino posizione perfetta a 5 minuti dal centro storico e dalle principali attrazioni fermate bus fronte hotel supermercato a 20 metri molto comodo hotel con tutti i confort ben riscaldato e stanze spaziose personale cordiale gentile e sempre disponibile. Consigliato per brevi soggiorni..

Posizione perfetta, vicinissimo al centro, che può essere raggiunto a piedi in pochi minuti. La stanza pulita e carina, l’unico neo è che non ci sono armadi, solo appendi abiti per i giubbotti e qualche gruccia appoggiata su dei tubi, ma nel complesso molto comodo.
