Ulasan YHA Ngong Ping SG Davis Youth Hostel (Lantau Island)

JANGAN merekomendasikan. Tempatnya sangat jauh dari segalanya, akses menuju kawasan sangat terbatas, bus pertama berangkat pukul 08.30 dan terakhir sekitar pukul 18.00. Saya tiba sedikit sebelum jam 4 dan hotel terkunci, tidak ada cara untuk masuk. Saya bertepuk tangan, mengetuk, berteriak lama sekali dan tidak ada yang datang ke pintu gerbang. Setelah sekian lama di bawah hujan, saya menelepon nomor tersebut dan orang itu datang untuk membukakan pintu gerbang. Penerimaan dekat dengan gerbang, yang berarti dia mendengar saya menelepon dan memilih untuk tidak membantu. Begitu saya tiba, dia meminta saya membayar 500 untuk deposit dan 150 lagi untuk kapal anggota. Dia memberi saya beberapa seprai yang tidak muat di tempat tidur, tidak ada handuk, dan membawa saya ke kamar. Kotor, banyak debu, berbau tidak sedap dan tidak dibersihkan. Saya bahkan tidak bisa tinggal satu jam di kamar, meskipun saya membayar untuk dua malam, saya hanya berkemas dan meninggalkan hotel. Sekali lagi, jangan merekomendasikan.

Lokasinya dekat dengan Tian Tan Buddha, dan tidak ada fasilitas akomodasi lain di dekatnya. Fasilitasnya sudah tua dan kebersihan kamar bisa diterima. Ada banyak area berjamur di dapur dan kamar mandi. Kamar lainnya ramah wisatawan.

Tung Chung - 2 nights - private double room Expectation/Reality: this is the only provider of accommodation in the area so expectations need to be managed. They have the ability to essentially set terms, so the negative reviews here are likely from the folks who didn’t read the find print. The photos match the space very well. However the hostel reached out over what’s app a number of days before the booking asking for the $150 membership fee and $500 deposit, which I was not comfortable providing until arrival, however the hostel was okay with that. Security: very good, there is a gate lock and a lock to the door, very safe. Hygiene: overall very clean, no concerns. Hospitality: the check in and out process is all over what’s app, so you are at the mercy of how responsive they are which can be frustration when trying to get in. Once you are in, it’s fine. Social Atmosphere: good social spaces. Overall: given they essentially have a monopoly on accommodation in the area. It’s a pretty good spot. I accidentally broke the key and they came and fixed it the next day, but took off $50 from the deposit. So handle the keys gently. Over pretty good place.

We had an enjoyable stay. Great location for hiking and sightseeing, very peaceful setting, lovely views of Lantau Peak and close to the Big Buddha, the chairlift and good bus connections to all over Lantau Island. The buildings have seen better days, as you expect at a youth hostel, but the showers are hot and effective, the kitchen and BBQ facilities are good and the bed is comfortable. The manager is very personable and friendly and it was nice to meet his family. There are few shops to buy ordinary supplies in Ngong Ping, except a very basic 7/11, so you need to stock up before arriving or be prepared to eat at the expensive tourist outlets in the 'village' or at Po Lin monastery. Tourist facilities shut down by 5-6pm.

For an escape time away from the city and crowd.. this is the perfect place 🥰❤️

Good service, great place to visit and lots of activities we can do near by there, just I suggest to make the restroom more better.

Für eine Jugendherberge sehr gut. Das beste ist die Lage in den Bergen, was späte bzw. Frühe Touren ermöglicht, da man schon vor Ort ist. Ausstattung ist auch top und für alle Möglichkeiten der Essenszubereitung eingerichtet. Leider waren bei uns viele Kinder zu Gast, was den Lärmpegel stark erhöhte und die Anlage eher hellhörig ist...aber damit muss man ja bei einer Jugendherberge rechnen.

恐龍主題房同小朋友去都唔錯，有小量玩具可以比小朋友可解悶，如果仲意大自然既朋友可以試吓，行山睇日出，天氣好仲有好多星星睇👍👍非常好的選擇

近昂坪巿集和心經簡林，地點很好，但設備有些舊，青年旅舍來說都可以，只是晚上沒有巴士交通，有cup noodle 賣

很滿意！在我心中這裡是昂坪的福地！同時也享受和hostel管理員聊天的感覺，有感受到被真誠對待！再次感謝！歡迎大家去體驗入住，青旅也可紮營，基礎設定可供使用，較於附近的昂坪營地必然會讓自己更舒服些。

孩子想去沙螺灣拍機，選擇了這家青旅。前台人員提前加微信溝通，瞭解我們到達時間，非常有禮貌。四人宿舍乾淨，公共區域有餐具可以煮食，風筒熱水不缺，周圍可以探索大佛和鳳凰徑第3段看日出，坐公車也可以去到大澳。我們住了兩晚，感覺還是挺愉快。 唯一要留意的是：如果要自己煮東西吃，要從公交車沿路的村或者東涌或者大澳採購帶上來，還有就是要留意公交的時刻表，避免誤車。
