La Chaumiere

TOUJOURS AU PETIT SOIN ET UN REPAS DE TRES BONNE FACTURE. NOUS VENONS TRES FREQUEMMENT EN VOISIN DEPUIS LE HAVRE ET C'EST TOUJOURS UN PLAISIR. LE CADRE EST AGREABLE, LE PERSONNEL AU PETIT SOIN ET TOUJOURS DISPONIBLE. A DECOUVRIR ET A REDECOUVRIR.

This wonderful hotel is situated in a marvelous location. It has a wonderful view on the estuary (shame about the industrial zone across the water). The hotel offers a direct access to the beach which ensures great strolls with your dog. The rooms are in an old farm house typical of the area. The hotel is not far from the centre of Honfleur (by car!), and beautiful villages and seaside towns such as Deauville and Houlgate are near. The great city of Caen is only 80 kilometers further on. The hotel has a great restaurant. The rooms do not have a fridge, and the toilet and bathroom are on opposite sides of the bed which makes handwashing during the night a nuisance. Especially since all lights are automatically switched on by movement. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is a disaster. Every morning the coffee was luke warm. A poor set of jams and some fruit are offered. But a cheese/meat board (4 very small pieces of cheese and two meagre slices of meat cost an extra 14 (!) Euros. It is a disgrace. The sauna costs extra as well. Although the stay was great, one feels a little cheated. Not very chique for a hotel that boasts 4 stars.

We had lunch last Thursday ,the building are gorgeous and the view is awesome .the food is very desappointing fair quality nothing great and the quantity is way short .After all you go to a restaurant to eat !We will not return to that place .

We had a wonderful stay at La Caumiere with our daughter and two dogs. The Hotel is a great place with spectecular view on sea, direct access to the beach. Our two dogs felt happy and very welcomed. The breakfast was delicious with fruits, juices, eggs and if needed it was possible to order cheese and ham. We had a great time at La Chaumiere and will come back next visiting the Normandy.

Upon arrival, restaurant was closed, Breakfast in the morning was very poor & three cats were sitting between the buffet.... The charm of the hotel is gone since our last visit some years ago... The entrance of the hotel is renewed, which is very attractive, but the service in the hotel is not !

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour et avons dîner et déjeuner au restaurant. Nous avons été très bien accompagné et accueilli chaleureusement, la chambre était magnifique et les repas frais et qualitatif. Nous sommes venus avec notre petit chien qui a été également accueilli. Le spa et la piscine était vraiment un plus pour une détente totale ! Nous avons terminé par un excellent brunch réputé sur la côte , je valide . Un bonjour à la petite jeune gaelle que je n’ai pas pu rencontrer c’est dommage . Merci pour tout. Bonne journée.

Cuisine très bonne dans un cadre parfait et avec magnifique coucher de soleil Je n’était pas encore retournée depuis l’ouverture du restaurant avec terrasse encore plus face a la mer Je conseille vivement en été comme en hiver et j’y retournerai pour un week-end en amoureux pour tester aussi les chambres qu’on l’air très confortables et joliment décorées

Le cadre est magique et l’équipe très serviable. Nourriture sans faute. Dommage, pas de menu enfant, on nous dit que les plats adultes peuvent être adaptés en quantité et prix pour les enfants. Ce n’était pas le cas à l’addition, alors que les enfants n’ont mangé qu’une petite partie de leur assiette. Résultat une addition assez salée avec deux enfants de 4 et 5 ans à table qui ont coûté plus cher que les formules des adultes.

Nous avons déjeuné en terrasse. La vie est tellement belle et le service était impeccable. Prix pas donnés mais la vue et la qualité de ce que nous avons eu dans l’assiette se justifie! La plage est juste en dessous accessible à pied. Un cadre vraiment enchanteur! Nous reviendrons!
