Our room was very clean and had a nice view. There was no elevator so we had to carry our luggage to the second floor which was ok. The breakfast was good in the beginning however it became limited after a huge group of travelers came in for breakfast as the staff didn't hurry to restock on time.

The hotel is located on the fjord and the views are amazing. The decor in the public areas has lots of wood and is authentic to the area. The restaurant food was good. Our room was poor, a 2 star at best. It had stains, loose electrical outlets, uncomfortable beds, no hair dryer, fridge or safe. I do not like to be negative however this is a fair assessment.

We loved the view of this hotel and the interesting interior. Our bus tour stopped here for the night. We were amazed at the location, staff was exceptional and friendly, and the food was excellent for dinner and breakfast. But . . . after reading reviews and viewing pictures I was shocked to see a clean but broken bathroom where the soap dispenser fell off the wall, the toilet seat fell off the hinges and we felt very uncomfortable. The room was subpar and I was upset with Trafalgar not taking care of the room issue. The excuse from the hotel is that it’s sold- what good does that do for guests now?

Our room is very spacious and great view at Sognefjord from the hotel room window. It’s also easy to walk to have a closer look at Sognefjord. Very pretty and tranquil

The hotel is in a quiet village right at the Sognefjord and offers beautiful views. But when the sun is out - I know, it’s not too often in Norway - it heats up quickly. The rooms are getting hot and it’s difficult to sleep. You need a car or be part of a tour group to do anything. Tours offered on the hotel’s website were not being held at the time of our visit.

I just have to mention an exceptional individual Charlotte Borlaug who gave us the best possible experience. Despite the unexpected early arrival of 2 bus groups combined with a birthday party, she managed to find us a table and magic an amazing evening meal with grace and made us feel very special guests. Charlotte Borlaug managed to repeat the exceptional service in the morning, one wonders if she ever sleeps, truly an exceptional manager.

Very nice local hotel with charm surrounded by the fjord. The reception and personel is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and in the large dining room area with sight on the fjord. Dinner is available and can be warmly recommended. The cook arranges very good looking and tasting courses.
