Portsmouth (Havant)

My husband and I were staying in the area for a wedding, and so wanted early check in to get ready. The process outline by Premier Inn is to call on the day and confirm that a room would be available. We called 20 times over the course of the morning and weren't ever able to speak to a person (or even leave a message) to request this. We conceded that we would have to check in late after the wedding. In this case, upon the request of the Premier Inn, you are meant to notify the hotel you will be arriving late to ensure that you would be able to get access to the room late at night. Obviously as I couldn't get through to the hotel at all this didn't happen and we spent the day worrying about whether we had somewhere to stay. This was all pretty disappointing, as we attempted to follow all the processes outlined and still had no success. The actual rooms themselves were pretty basic as expected- a bed to stay for the night and sleep. It's located near the A3 and so is quite noisy if you want the windows open.

Rooms very dated , carpets on stairs ripped, my daughter had plastic in her Mac and cheese and all waitress could say was it’s only the packaging which I wasn’t happy about. Was comfy after I managed to get to sleep due to constant banging of doors in corridor and stairway

We arrived this evening after travelling with work all day tired and hungry to be greeted by a fantastic member of staff , the room was great but next door was extremely noisy , loud TV and kids screaming , we had booked our meal deals for 7.30 we arrived down with six people in the dining room to be told by the other member of staff that there would be a 45 minute wait due to the amount of people waiting for food. Never in my life have I entered a restaurant with a quarter of the tables filled and told that I have to wait three quarters of an hour to be able to place an order we had to find a seat and table ourselves as we were not offered one we sat down waited 15 minutes to not have even been offered a drink we had to request one my colleague asked for a Corona with a slice of lime it came down with a slice of lemon in it. I never have been as disappointed in a premier inn ever after the 100's of times we have stayed in them. I can not believe the restaurant quality if I stay here again I will ensure not to be using the restaurant.

Amazing service, room and bathroom will definitely come back. Best hotel I’ve been to with warm welcome from the staff. The beds are clean and comfortable. The hotel is right next to the restaurant, so if you wouldn’t want to leave it’s perfect. The Gurnwharf shopping centre is 15mins away which is perfect. Perfect location.

Our booking for an accessible room for family of 4 was accepted but until we arrived about 9pm, no one noticed that room only had a double bed. Took over an hour, with a teary and tired child and hurting mum to sort somewhere for us all to sleep. Hotel had also given permission to a van to use disabled parking so not room for those with an actual permit. Made to feel very unwelcome. Poorly dealt with on this occasion, step it up PI! Also very loud ‘activities’ in room above kept us awake.

Good location for visiting Portsmouth. The room was mostly clean (tea/coffee splatter on the wall) tea/coffee help yourself in reception. Had breakfast on both mornings which was lovely and they were very helpful with allergies too. Would stay again.

Food was awful, first time I’ve had a prawn cocktail where it was spot the prawn with half a tomato dumped at the bottom. Staff where awful as they where all relief staff because they where on there chris**as doo, in February. Complained multiple times duty manager never come over to see what the issue was. Hotel receptionist was as helpful as could be, tried to change the room as we are contractors and said it couldn’t be done but I paid for a separate room and lo and behold no problem.

We visited family on 18th January and have to say your receptionist was so friendly and helped us book taxis and where to go, nothing was to much bother for her, very professional please pass on our thanks to helen 10/10 We will be back again!!!

we stayed at premier inn bedhampton last week and i have to say it was outstanding, not only were the rooms spotless the staff were all so lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was great too. id like to mention sarah in h/k who helped us with our luggage and helen and dom on reception was so helpful too, we will definatly be reccomeding this hotel too all of our friends. the only downfall was the rooms smelt musty,
