Very friendly people, with excellent cooking skills and good breakfast. The facility is nice and has a lot of space and sitting area. The surroundings are great with nice lakes with biking and hiking facilities. The nearby village of Hällefors has supermarkets and that is about it. Canoes can be rented on the nearby camping. (e)Bikes/mountainbikes can be rented at the hotel. On the negative side, the hotel is close to a noisy road. It did not feel as an escape from the city for that reason. The rooms windows are missing anti-insect screens (I think these would be welcome) and the rooms felt a bit dated, slightly unventilated with dust here and there, although beds were of good quality and clean.

We stayed at Sikfors herrgård in Juli 2021. It was a hot and sunny day, so we spend the afternoon sunbathing and relaxing at the lake. Our room (double room, but it was more like a junior suite) was clean and nice, overlooking a little river. We had dinner at Sikfors herrgård, which was an amazing experience. Three course dinner, mostly locally produced food - wonderful! The breakfast was also great, especially the homemade rye bread and Uta's own marmelades. Sikfors herrgård is a lovely place with nature just around the corner. If you like MTB, hiking or canoeing - this is the right place. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing and beautiful all year around.

Die familiäre Atmosphäre macht dieses Hotel in Bilderbuchlage zu etwas Besonderem. Sehr nette Inhaber, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und hervorragendes Abendmenu. Unser Zimmer war sauber, groß genug, inklusive gemütlicher Sitzecke und mit schönem Gartenblick. Man kann sich Fahrräder vor Ort leihen, in der Nähe gibt es einen Kajakverleih, eine schöne Moorwanderung und vieles mehr zu erleben. Eine tolle Basis für einige Tage in der Natur mit dem Komfort eines tollen Hotels.
