Excellent hotel with fabulous breakfast. Couldn’t be nearer to the centre

Right next to the town center. Parking nearby, both public and reserved for the hotel (4 spots).

Heerlijk hotel aan de rand van het historische centrum van Guimaraes. Vanuit het hotel zijn bezienswaardigheden en stations binnen 15 minuten lopen bereikbaar. Erg klantvriendelijk personeel en een echt geweldig ontbijt aan tafel geserveerd. Als je in Guimaraes gaat verblijven, is dit hotel een echte aanrader.

Das Hotel liegt etwas versteckt in der Altstadt. Von hier ist alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir waren zur Akrobatik WM unseres Sohnes da und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Eine wunderschöne Altstadt mit vielen guten Restaurants. Der Weg zur Halle ca. 20 min. , der Weg zum Flixbus ca. 15 min. Das Frühstück wird einem an den Platz gebracht, es fehlt an nichts. Auf Wünsche wurde super freundlich eingegangen. Auch sprachlich gab es weder in deutsch noch englisch Probleme.

Muy bien ubicado en pleno centro. El servicio todos muy agradables y atentos. El desayuno está muy bien, con zumo natural, macedonia de frutas, pan, bollos, huevo revuelto o frito, jamón y queso...muy completo. Lo recomendamos!!

If you expect to arrive in a 4 stars hotel it's not the case. Hotel and rooms should be refurbished. Wall view of the rooms, super noisy, you can exactly understand what your neighbour is doing. Not even easy to find as the name is on the main square on another building while the hotel is on the back. On the other hand good breakfast served at the table.

This hotel was perfectly situated and lovely as well. Though an old building it is modern inside and very comfortable. The staff were exceptional - going above and beyond with help and very friendly. It was ideal for my mother who has accessibility needs as there is a lift. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. It is close to sight seeing and restaurants cafes and bars

This is a very well located hotel in the old town of Guimaraes. The front desk staff were very helpful with a lot of good local suggestions. The hotel itself is a little dated, the rooms need to be refurbished to bring them to a modern standard. The bathrooms and air conditioning in particular need to be addressed.

The most helpful staff we’ve ever encountered, nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast was a real joy, no buffet to manoeuvre just sit and have excellent service and a very good breakfast. The only problem we had was finding the entrance , it was raining so it made it a little more difficult , an extra bit of signage would do wonders . All in all a superb stay . Well done staff .

My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Toural in Guimarães for one night during a holiday in Portugal. The hotel is located in the old city and a few minutes’ walk from all the main points of interest. Guimarães was our favourite city during our tour of northern Portugal. We struggled to find the entrance, even with our GPS but once found, the staff were very helpful finding a free parking space for our car in the adjacent street. Our room was clean and comfortable with a separate seating area and a great view of the Toural square. The staff were amazing and the breakfast was very good. Recommended.

Great location, staff very friendly recommended good restaurants nearby. Rooms a little tired but breakfast, cleanliness and location more than made up for it. Very hard to find in the car as entrance isn’t obvious. Situated in a side road in the old town. Camoens car park is cheapest.

We stayed 2 nights at this gem of a hotel. It’s a charming small hotel tucked away in the Toural square, walking distance from all sites, restaurants and bars. Although the hotel faces the square the entrance is from the back off a side street just across the fountain in between a cafe and music Centre. There is parking on the side street with electric charging stations as well. Check in and out was handled efficiently by Marta who was extremely polite, friendly and of great assistance. I applaud the entire staff on their professionalism, friendliness, efficiency and being helpful at all times. Our room on the 2nd floor was a good size with a big bathroom, minibar and safe. The view on the square was nice. Breakfast is really good, I specially enjoyed the fresh orange juice! The kitchen and bar staff are amazing as well. The atrium, bar and sitting areas are a nice place to relax in. We stayed here at the recommendation of a friend and I will highly recommend it to everyone. Loved it!

Good hotel in great location. Walking distance to all the main sights, restaurants, cafes, small shops. Serviceable and friendly staff. Very good breakfast with eggs made to order, breads, fresh fruit and yogurt, juice, great coffee and homemade cakes. Loved the orange cake. Small room but very adequate with two small balconies with views of the Toural square and the church. Our only small issue was a noise that came from the ac/heater a few times. We informed the staff and they informed us that it was fixed, until the last early morning when it started again. We opted to turn it off. There was also a banging noise a few times and the staff could not figure out where it was coming from. Not a big issue just annoying. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel, very well located in the historic district. There were enough electrical outlets for my husband and I to each use our CPAP machine. For us this detail was very important, because we met on our way hotels that only had one electrical outlet and not next to the bed. We had trouble parking. Nice policemen helped us. Their lunch served at the table is delicious, lots of choice and all you can eat. All the staff at the property are very kind and helpful. Guimaraes will have been one of our most beautiful cities that we have visited in Portugal. Small detail for those who have never been to Europe. If you enter your room and the electricity is not working, look at the entrance to your room (inside the room), there should be a small box, put your room card there and push a bit and the electricity will work. Do not forget to take it back before leaving the room. We discovered this at this hotel. Many hotels operate this way.
