Dodola Lodge

Бюджетный отель, все необходимое есть кроме холодильника, это минус. Но есть кухня где есть холодильник и плита. До пляжа три минуты, рядом. На балконе бегают геконы, также есть комары. Хозяева строят второй корпус рядом с морем.

After doing lots of research about where to stay in Mauritius we choose Perebeye and the Dodola Lodge. The room was perfect. We choose one with a kitchenette. There was a drying rack on the patio although the cloths dried best in the room as it was humid outside. They have a shared kitchen with a fridge and cooking area if you didn’t go the kitchenette route but to have everything you need in the room was amazing, glassware, plates, utensils, mugs, kettle, fridge, hand towel, cutting board, microwave and counter space. They even provide a sponge and liquid soap. The only thing missing was an ice cube tray. We improvised and made ice using small paper cups and at one point even aluminum muffin tins. The hotel provides soap but no shampoo or conditioner. The shower has plenty of hot water and the aircon works great. Beach towels are available at 50MR each and you can keep them as long as you like. There is a safe in the room as well as black out curtains. Since the hotel is on a side street it is extremely quiet in terms of traffic noise and the sliding glass doors to the patio are great too as our neighbors were on a different schedule than us. Mitch at the front desk was super helpful in arranging anything we might need. The grocery store is less than a 5 minute walk away and has everything you could want. The fresh baked baguette ( 9MR ) was a staple for sure. A 6 pack of phoenix beer about 375 MR. The location was great, 2 min walk to an A**, fried chicken, pizza, crepes, 3 min walk to the bus and an amazing food truck at the beach, 4 min walk to the taxi stand, 4 or 5 restaurants and then the super market. The beach is great, crowded with locals enjoying, picnicking, a pentanque court and playing music. The sun sets right into the ocean – the view is incredible. The bus to Grand Baie takes 5 minutes and is 24 MR. In terms of exercise by walking there are no side walks and the cars go whizzing by, if you bring water shoes you can start on the beach and continue to the right and walk all the way to another long stretch of beach.

My experience of my stay at Dodo la Lodge was exceptionally good. The room was large and very comfortable and quiet and always well cleaned each day. I particularly enjoyed having the shady balcony which provided a welcome retreat from the heat in the middle of the day. All the young team of staff were delightful and couldn't have done more to make my stay a very pleasant ten day break. Making a return trip to this hotel is now high on my agenda.

Our stay was pretty good overall. The room is pretty modern and clean. The staff were very accomodating. We stayed for 7 days and the location is very close to the beach. There are a few restaurants closeby which helps when there is no breakfast available. A supermarket is within walking distance as well where you can stock up on necessities.

The Appartement is OK and the staff is friendly but the noise was a big minus. The street is very close and the traffic very loud, even with AC on, it also has lots of neighbours playing loud music.

we enjoyed our 1 week stay at Dodola. The facility is very well maintained. we had an error message with the AC and it was fixed by a technician the next day. overall I'd recommend this place. it is walking distance to the pereybere beach and lots of restaurant and supermarket (winners). beautiful patio for each room, the premise are safe. overall we were very pleased.

I spent two nights at Dodola lodge. It is very well maintained and near the beach , which is literally a two minutes walk. The rooms are nice, modern and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. The price was also very good given the quality. Overall, I will strongly recommend Dodola.

Had a nice stay at Dodo La Lodge. Pereybere is directly across the road and several dining options nearby. Kitchenette is limited so do not plan to prepare meals yourself in room. Supermarket is a short walk. Bus access on the main road gets you to Grand Baie, La Cuvette, Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches.
