Visited Sumela Garden Hotel in August 2021 for two weeks. I went on vacation alone, because had to rest my mind after a hard year at work. I wanted peace, and I was choosing a hotel, taking this my need into account. I will say at once that I have been to Turkey many times, in hotels of different categories and different resorts, so there is something to compare. The first advantage of the hotel is the location. The nature there is amazing - on one side are the mountains, on the other - the sea. Very picturesque landscapes, especially when swimming and looking at the mountains from the sea. The sea is great, warm and clean. In addition, the hotel is located very close to the airport, about 30-40 minutes by bus, so the road is not tiring at all. There are small shops with souvenirs, fruit, clothes, etc. right next to the hotel. If you wish, you can easily get to Kemer by bus passing by the hotel. The hotel is located on the waterfront, less than a minute of walk to the beach. The beach is a concrete platform, from which you can go down to the pebble beach with an easy entrance into the sea. I did not use special shoes for that. I had holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic, so it was important for me to be safe and clean at the hotel. The positive thing, in my opinion, was that the hotel was deliberately not 100% full, which helped to avoid crowds. Free sunbeds could be found on the beach at any time of the day, no one occupied them with towels at night, which is another important advantage of the hotel. At the entrance to the restaurant, each time free masks were issued and the temperature was measured, on each table, there was a liquid for hand disinfection. The staff constantly worked in masks. The hotel area is small but beautiful - green, well-groomed, and clean. There is a small pool in which I did not swim, so I can not say anything about it. As for food, it corresponds to a hotel of this category. The variety of dishes is small, but everything I tried was delicious. There was fish and meat. The choice of fruits, too, was poor, but everything I ate was tasty. I don't drink alcohol, so I can't say anything about its quality. The bar was open all day until 22.0 if I'm not mistaken. I would like to express my special gratitude to the hotel staff. I was very pleased with everything. After arrival at the hotel around 6-7 pm, I was accommodated in just 10 minutes. I asked for a room with a balcony - I was given it (without any extra charge). In the restaurant all staff was polite and attentive, by the end of my vacation they already knew without additional explanation what do I like to eat and what drinks I will order :) In general, I want to say that since I traveled alone, the safety of staying at the hotel was important to me. I didn't want intrusive animation, harassment by hotel staff (which is very common in Turkey, especially when a woman travels alone). The Sumela Garden Hotel proved to be an ideal option. Everyone was polite, unobtrusive,
