The lady from the motel was expecting us to arrive at 6:30pm on Friday evening which is the time we arrived. It was raining hard, was an absolutely freezing night and I was extremely upset that they had not bothered to pre-heat the room whatsoever. A tiny oil heater was then plugged in and I told the lady that this was not acceptable as it would take a long time to heat up; she went away and came back with another heater which was also pretty slow to heat. Unfortunately we had already pre-paid for our room otherwise we would have declined to stay and found more quality and caring accommodation. There was no compendium with advice about where to dine, takeout meals, local attractions etc. The room was completely devoid of any information which we have never come across in a motel/hotel before . A note on the wall beside the in-room spa pool noted that no disruptive noise will be tolerated after 10pm however this did not stop the neighbouring room (the walls are very thin) to start up their spa pool and keep it running until after 11pm. We tried calling the office around this time to complain however there was no answer so you’re on your own if anything happens here after hours. The next day I also noted that the windows were dirty with black mould; cleanliness was also not a top priority here. We will never return to this motel and would not recommend it to anyone else.
